Winter 2025-26 Rate Drop! 3 br / 3.5 ba townhome, Dog Friendly!

Dune Fox is located on the larger pond in Barrier Dunes. This townhome has the most spacious floor plan that Barrier Dunes has to offer. Its also located across the street from the playground in Barrier Dunes. The location is perfect for those who want to enjoy peace and tranquility but are less than a 3 minute walk to the beautiful beaches of Cape San Blas. There is a long spacious driveway that will accommodate 3 vehicles, also there is a closed-in shower.

The first level of Dune Fox has a 60" flat screen tv, two cottage style sofas (one is a sleeper), bamboo flooring, dining table that seats 6 comfortably and a half bath. The kitchen is well stocked with all your culinary needs including a Keurig Coffee Maker.

There is a spacious deck off the living room that has a 4 seat bar height table w/umbrella and chairs, and propane gas grill. The deck has a lovely view of the pond and is large enough to relax and enjoy the sun.

The second level has two bedrooms and laundry area. The pond side bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, nightstands, chair, smart tv and ensuite bath. There is also a spacious deck overlooking the pond which is a great place to get some sun!!! The street side bedroom has a queen bed, nightstands, chest of drawers and flat screen tv. There is also an ensuite bath and balcony.

The primary suite has a king bed, loveseat, flat screen tv, dresser and nightstands. There is also a split air conditioner for added comfort. The spacious primary bath has a separate shower and garden tub. There is also a double vanity. The open deck provides spectacular views.

All bed and bath linens are provided as a convenience to our guests. Dune Fox is a perfect family retreat or for couples who need a quiet get-away!
There is an additional fee if you decide to bring your dog! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs with the $150 non-refundable fee..

50% of balance due is due at booking and the remaining balance is due 60 days prior to check-in.
All reservations require sending in a copy of your government issued ID for age verification purposes.

Great location! We rented bikes and rode to get ice-cream, eat lunch and visit the state park. Communication with the property manager is excellent!

Couples trip

We are all long time friends and take a trip every year together. This trip was about just relaxing, hate that it was red flag and water was not clear, but property was as stated. Very relaxing time, will stay again.

This condo was perfect! It was decorated beautifully and well stocked, with everything we needed and more. We were thrilled with the location, a quick walk to the beach. Would love to rent here again!

The Perfect Beach Getaway

Dune Fox is a fabulous place to stay. It is clean, roomy, well stocked, and in a great location. Stefanie, the property manager, communicates well and is responsive if you needs her. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing beach getaway

We’ve stayed at this unit several times and especially enjoy the peace and quiet of the location with just a quick walk to the pool, beach, and tennis courts. The condo is always clean and in great shape with plenty of room for us to enjoy being together without being under foot. We took our Labrador Retriever for his first beach experience, and he also loved being able to be with his people and meet other dogs on the beach. We’ll definitely be back next year.

Family Vacay 2023

The Cape is our favorite place on earth! Barrier Dunes is the best, most affordable place to stay! Family friendly, pet friendly and SAFE! We have been staying here for over 5 years and we have stayed at DUNE FOX twice. The property manager, Stephanie is always great! Can’t wait til next year!

Relaxing and fun

Our stay was AMAZING! The condo was clean and comfortable and gave us plenty of room to enjoy being together without feeling as though we were stepping all over each other. We enjoyed having the option of the beach and the pool within a short walking distance making our vacation relaxing and fun. The check in and check out processes were easy. We were enjoying our stay so much that we were sad when our time ended. We are already making plans to return next year.

Fully stocked kitchen. Short walk to beach. Very clean and nicely decorated. Air conditioning was amazing. We didn’t have any issues for the entire week. Lovely vacation. Thank you so much for having us.

Great place to stay

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. The best things about in my opinion would be the amount of space, how well equipped the kitchen is (tons of cookware!) and the amount of parking area. Plenty of room to spread out. The decks are a great place to spend time on. Of all the places we have stayed using VRBO, this one is the most like “home” the way it is furnished/equipped and probably the best value for our family! We will definitely book this place again in the future.

Wonderful beach escape!

My family and I spent fall break at Dune Fox - it was perfect! Just as described. Water pressure was a little iffy in the showers many times, so don't all shower at once. But otherwise, this was just the place we needed for the week. We walked to the beach daily, and even out for dinner one night! Thank you!

Family vacay

We loved Dune Fox. And have been staying at various townhomes in Barrier Dunes for 15+ years. The home itself was great—very colorful and inviting. The prop manager answered us immediately. Two things: —the townhome is in the back of the complex so I would suggest bringing a wagon or renting a golf cart if you will be taking lots of things to the beach. —the door to the deck is very, very hard to open. But overall a 5!

Everything you could ever need!

Home needs a bit of updating.Location is a bit away from the beach, but we made do.The main pool by the beach was closed for repairs ,but no fault of owner or manager. One of the bicycles had a flat tire. We did have an issue with the A/C system one day, but Jennifer was very responsive and even issued a partial refund for our trouble and help. Hats off to her! Now , for the good, this place had absolutely everything you needed for cooking, beaching, etc. beach cart,boogie boards, sand toys,you name it! We love the Cape and will be back!

Pretty good stay.

The master bed on the top floor was hot, luckily found a fan that we sat in the night stand. Not one door closed fully and locked except the ground floor door. There were roaches in the kitchen drawers. Beds were comfy, couches were nice. The Wi-Fi worked great. It was a nice experience others than the bugs.

Fun Beach Family Time

We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the beach. The beach is next to the clubhouse pool so it is easy to change from beach time to pool time. There is very little parking at the pool but the complex is small enough to walk to the pool/beach. The condo has a lot of stairs- one flight up to the main floor, another flight to two of the bedrooms and another flight to the master bedroom. I wish they had a baby gait since we had a toddler and the stairs were a problem.
