Private Pool Oasis! - Palm Terrace

Palm Terrace is a large 4 Bedroom, 4 Bathroom private sanctuary with Historic Tybee charm. The second floor features 2 Bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped modern kitchen, generous living room, dining room, and sun room with an outdoor deck for dining while overlooking the gorgeous pool. The first floor has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a laundry room, living and dining room and a kitchenette that is convenient to the pool and covered outdoor dining area. The backyard features a huge pool and pool house with a 90in. TV for watching the big game while swimming or grilling on the charcoal or gas grills, a large commercial ice machine, bar, and lounge seating area. The house is located on 6th Terrace beach side of Butler. It is very close to the beach. This part of the beach is significantly less crowded than the rest of Tybee and coveted by locals who know and have access.

There is also an on-site golf cart that is separately rentable for $100 per day (rentable days are 10 am to 10 am). The link to rent the golf cart will be sent when a reservation is made for the house.

Pool Seasonality: The Barracks Pool is open year-round. It is heated on the following date range:
October 1 – December 15
March 15 – May 30
The pool is not and will not be heated from December 15 through March 15 as the air temps are too cool to maintain an adequate swimming temp.
The pool is cleaned and treated once a week. We skim it on your day of check in, otherwise the normal skimming and cleaning is up to the guest.

* The downstairs kitchen sink tends to back up when the Tybee water table is high. We recommend using this sink to wash hands and fill the coffee pot only, ie, not using it to wash dishes, etc. Please do not pour grease down any drain but especially this one.*

The place was large and pretty clean, but some of the rugs seemed to smell and be dirty.The pool got a bit nasty toward the end of our stay.

This was an older beach house than we thought from the pics.The downstairs bathrooms were not updated but were clean. The kitchen only had 5 forks for a 4 bedroom and we had to purchase forks.When we checked in, the towelInventory was low but our property manager did respond quickly with more plush towels and a new grate for the grill. WeEnjoyed the pool, the living space and the sunroom. Beds were comfortable and everyone had a good time! Thanks.

The house is an older home with plenty of rooms and space for a large group. If you drive larger vehicle it’s a very tight squeeze to back in and out of the driveway. This home is in the middle of many houses with a small rock alley leading to it. If you have a baby like we did pushing a stroller while carrying beach equipment is a pain.The outside pool was awesome! I loved that it was saltwater and didn’t burn my eyes. My complaint is that it was dirty with sand, toys, coins, and debris when we arrived and my son had to clean it. The seating area with the outdoor kitchen would have been great if it wasn’t completely filthy. The floor was full of dirt and debris. The patio set out there was nice and the large outdoor tv was really nice to a play music station on while in the pool. The beds were comfy. I also loved all the extra towels! I know this wasn’t intentional but the downstairs fridge did not work.

Vacationed with friends and family including two children. As I was the only beach lover the pool was perfect for everyone to spend a relaxing day in the sun or shade as preferred. The kids definitely improved their swimming skills! There were 8 of us and the 4 bedrooms and baths were all very nice. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels. We cooked a lot and the only thing I missed were a few large platters, extra forks would be nice too, and some pot holders. Lots of pantry space and closet space in general. House stayed nice and cool almost too chilly we had to turn the thermostat up lol. The downstairs den could use a new rug, maybe a washable one and an entry mat for people to wipe their feet. Everyone loved the house, the pool, and the location and would definitely stay here again!

Everyone we dealt with was very responsive and we did enjoy the house. Suggestion: because it was cooler some of the week we were there, a few blankets in some drawers in the bedrooms. I really did like abundance of towels and washcloths, as you go through a lot. Tough for me to give overall ratings of excellent on anything, so just explaining that. Thank you so much

Great location , quick 5 minute walk to be on the beach ! The pool was clean and lots of pool chairs !The mattresses were very comfortable . The house was large with a great enclosed room off the upstairs family room . Appliances were exceptional . Plenty of towels too ! Great communication from property management. Only fix would be that the beach chairs at house have seen better days . We had brought our own anyways so wasn’t an issue .

Beautiful property!

Location was great for beach access and having a heated pool while visiting in March was a huge plus! We did have some issues with the WiFi, but the property manager did their best to troubleshoot it for us. We would stay again if in the area!

Great house and pool!

The house was exactly as pictured. Very clean! The pool and outside sitting area were wonderful to have to keep cool. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Tybee Island Retreat

Great house. Great Pool. Walking distance to the beach. Eight of us had a great stay with plenty of room. The outdoor pool house with big screen TV was awesome. Highly recommend the property.
