High desert Home

We loved our stay here. The home was perfect for 5 of us and could easily accommodate more. We enjoyed the pool every day. It was perfect being within easy access of downtown Santa Fe and being away from the crowds. It was very relaxing.

Summer oasis

Great stay at a beautiful home set in beautiful grounds 10-15 minutes from downtown Santa Fe. The pool and surrounding courtyard were perfect for our 10 and 12 year old kids (and adults!) and we watched evening mountain thunderstorms off in the distance from the front porch. A great stay.

Beautiful place, wonderful hosts!

We had a wonderful time at this lovely home! The hosts were accommodating, kind, and communicated with us in a timely manner. It's beautifully situated in south Santa Fe just 20 minutes from the Plaza in a very quiet, rural neighborhood. The deck and pool are lovely. The bedrooms and living room are very comfortable. A perfect stay!

Peaceful Retreat

We had an amazing stay at the Desert Retreat House, such a peaceful oasis. It was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. It was so comfortable and we greatly enjoyed the lovely heated pool and beautiful courtyard. Hosts were very attentive and kind. There is honestly nothing that needs to be changed. This house provides such a peaceful stay while still being close to town. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful Desert Oasis

We took our family to Santa Fe to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and this property was the perfect place. All the facilities from the pool to the kitchen to the front porch to the living areas were top notch - exactly as described. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets were also included. The chickens were a plus for the kids. A+++

We’ll be back!

Our group of nine all enjoyed our stay at this nicely decorated property! The kids were so excited to feed the horses carrots, and we all loved the heated pool! We could not have had better gracious hosts! Thank you for everything, Fernando and Mercedez! We’ll be back!

Perfect Santa Fe for Large Group

We had a wonderful stay here for Zozobra. The home is very clean and large, lots of private spaces for a large group. The kitchen was fully stocked. We had a wonderful time in the heated pool with plenty of lounge chairs and seating to enjoy the backyard. They even supplied pool floaties and toys for the pool. The owners were very communicative. We had no issues at all. This home is lovely, in a great neighborhood. We highly recommended this home.

A Santa Fe Oasis

Well-appointed and peaceful, this property was the perfect place to call home base while on a vacation in Santa Fe, as it was close enough to be convenient to town, far enough away to be surrounded by nature. The rooms (and private casita) were spacious, and the beds were comfy. The outdoor patio was great, with nice sunset views. The pool was divine, especially after a morning hike. Fernando and Mercedes were gracious hosts. Communication was easy and open, and their welcome gift of fresh eggs from their chickens was a nice gesture. My family and I enjoyed the place and all it had to offer. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay in a great location

The house was well-appointed and very comfortable for our family of 10. We had a lovely time hanging out in the yard, and we enjoyed many days swimming in the pool. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen and dining areas were well-equipped. The kids enjoyed visiting the horses and chickens each day, and we loved making friends with the owners' dogs. The house is well-located a few minutes outside of Santa Fe. We visited the Plaza, art galleries, and farmers market downtown, and we went on several hikes and bike rides in the area. On the last day when we had a problem with our flight, Mercedes went out of her way to offer a helping hand - thanks for a wonderful trip!

Heaven on Earth

We came for Memorial Day Weekend. One of the only places with a pool and room for 4 adults and 2 kids. It was serene, beautiful and spacious. Fernando was an absolute delight to work with and an amazing human with a huge heart. We will fro sure be back to visit our Heaven on Earth.

Wonderful property and hosts

Wonderful experience staying at this property! The hosts were amazing, they gave us fresh chicken eggs and we got to admire and feed the horses. Their dogs were the sweetest and stopped by every so often. The pool was absolutely amazing, and the house was beautiful and spacious. If we come back to Santa Fe this is where we would stay again!

オーナー : FERNANDO MORENO

Mercedes and I are from Spain, she is from Barcelona and I'm from Granada, we moved to this country 30 some years ago, during most of our time in USA, we have live in a lot of different States, mostly West. When we first visit Santa Fe, back in 2003, we both decided that this would be the best place for us to settle, whenever that would be. In 2016, our wish came trough, A good professional opportunity approached me and we made our final move to Santa Fe, Mercedes and I and all of our animals:
Bruja, our beautiful Andalusian mare that has being traveling with us for 24 years, she was pregnant at the time
Hooch, our 14 year adopted mix sweet dog
Junior, our 16 years adopted cat

We made our move, got situated with our jobs, rent an apartment ad went out and search for the perfect home. where all of us can be happy, and at the time the number one priority was to find a horse property, for Bruja and her upcoming foal. That's when after a long time of search, I came across this property, which, at the time seemed and wash too much for us, but we were enchanted by the place, and we didn't want to let it go, we pushed our selves and here we are. Now Mercedes and I, want to travel and be free this summer, and we think that the best way is to share the beauty and magic of this place with you. Please make the best out of it
