LOVED IT!!!

We just loved our stay! The beach is just stunning, acres of white sand, great for walking. We spent hours sitting on the oceanfront balcony just watching the waves and sea birds while enjoying the breeze from the ocean. The house was extremely clean and the kitchen well stocked. We hope to return for a longer stay, 4 days was too short.Thanks,

Beautiful ocean view. Conveniently located.

Everything was as advertised. Found all we needed to make ourselves at home. Some trouble operating tvs in bedrooms. Too many remotes and no directions. All in all a great 4 day stay. Be sure to try The Elkhouse right around the corner!

Perfect Wedding Weekend

This was the absolute best house for our family while our daughter had a small beach ceremony. The views were spectacular! The double doors to the patio allowed for ocean waves to relax us day and night. The downstairs was perfect to entertain and play games and watch movies! We did not want to leave!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had the family there an entire week. We loved the beach house and its location! Our only complaint was the rental company handling the place for the owners (St. Augustine Vacation Rentals, LLC). We had a question and we sent then several emails and phone calls over the course of a month in advance of our stay. They simply would not respond to us.

Fantastic Beach Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beachfront Hideaway was a beautiful place to spend our week in St. Augustine! We usually stay in a condo, but decided to try this house instead. The layout of the house was great, as we had several families staying together. There was plenty of room for family togetherness as well as space to get away by yourself and relax. The dining room table was a great place for our spirited family game nights. The bedrooms were nice and there were plenty of spaces for all guests with sleeper sofas and other couches. The house was very clean and well-kept (I am very picky about that). There is a spiral staircase which was not ideal for clumsy people like me, but I just took the stairs on the outside of the house to get around to each level and it was no problem. The rest of the family did fine on the spiral staircase. The view of the ocean from the house was breathtaking! We saw beautiful sunrises, dolphins, a turtle, and gorgeous sunny days. The boardwalk down to the beach was a bit long with some steps, but it was worth it to walk down to your almost private beach. I hurt my knee before our vacation and still managed to walk to the beach and back several times a day. One note of caution-I would recommend wearing shoes/flip flops on the boardwalk. Derek was available to answer all our questions when we would call. I would highly recommend Beachfront Hideaway as your home away from home!

The house was spotless and beautiful. Ample room with two separate living spaces. Right on the beach with gorgeous views. Close to town. The porch for sunrises and late afternoon drinks is ideal. Two notes: lots of stairs. And the dock to the beach could use refurbishing.

Wonderful Location and lovely home

We were here for a girls' trip, and the house and location were great. It's true to the photos, and the beach access is perfect! The only comment I would make is that it seems unnecessary to go to the management company office first to pick up the packet for entry to the house. We had a cancelled flight that messed up one of our schedules, and I was worried about having to find two places in the dark. All that check-in information could be sent electronically right before check-in. But the house was wonderful, and we would definitely go back!

Wonderful location; awesome house!

Loved the house and location. Well-stocked kitchen, comfy furniture, nice bedding and plenty of bath towels. The only negative: could not get ceiling fans to work so spent warm nights in bedrooms. Texts to property manager regarding this issue went unanswered.

You're going to love it here!

This is a nicely updated, well decorated, and well stocked house in an exceptional location. We had rental bikes delivered from Drifters (super friendly and easy) and enjoyed the easy access to the beach via the vehicle access that was 1 block away. The kitchen is big and well stocked - we enjoyed cooking every day. Our only disappointment was the rental manager. As a Premier Host, I expect more. Some examples: 1) I contacted the host in advance to advise that we were traveling in by plane and would arrive after the check-in time and after dark. We went to the office after hours to pick up our packet as instructed only to learn that the house had a key pad - no key necessary. This was an unnecessary stop after a long day of travel. There was no other useful information in the packet. 2) We arrived at the house and it was pitch black. Not a single light on. It was unnerving to navigate and enter an unfamiliar house in the dark. It felt really careless on the part of the host. 3) For all of the other coffee loving (or needing) guests, fyi, there is a Keurig coffee maker although there are no starter pods to get you through the first morning and off to the grocery store - byop. 4) There is no information in the house or in the packet about the hosts recommendations for the area. I'm resourceful, no problem, but again, I expect more from a Premier Host. Bottom line: The house is a gem. Host could be improved.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the 1st time we stayed in house on the beach and we were not disappointed. BF Hideaway is an older home with fantastic upgrades. We were comfortable, it was very clean. But the best part was the back porch. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. We watched beautiful sunrises and a amazing moonrise. Dolphins jumping in the waves and turtles on the beach. Great location, easy access it the highway, 15 min drive in St. Augustine. Or go the other way towards Hammock beach and Cinnamon beach. Thank you for a great week.

Beautiful Views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and we enjoyed the stunning views from the house and porch. It was a quick and beautiful walk to the beach on the private boardwalk. We would love to return.

Wonderful stay. Excellent accommodations for our group of six. Great beach and convenient, short drive for groceries and restaurants. Crescent beach was amazing, would definitely come back.

You could tell that there are still some improvements to be made, but the home was perfect for our party of 6! The only weird thing about the home is there is a TV in every room, except the upstairs living room. We enjoy watching the news while drinking coffee/eating breakfast, and also enjoy watching baseball as a family in the evening, and it would have been nice to have a TV upstairs in the living area- but that is a minor detail compared to all of the wonderful things. The beds are also very soft (not great for a bad back), and very small (queens).

My family Loved the beautiful view from this beach house

It was very clean and beautifully decorated. Kitchen is fully stocked. Three large bedrooms and one smaller one with twin beds. In addition a twin size pullout couch in a small room attached to one of the bedrooms that was very nice for my granddaughter. Nice comfortable pull out couch downstairs. There were 11 of us and everyone slept comfortably. The house is two stories with the kitchen upstairs so not handicap accessible. The steps are spiral steps so we carried in groceries by the outside steps which worked good. Very nice large refrigerator with ice maker. The beach was perfect and just a short walk out a private wooden walkway leaving from the deck of the house. Nice light color soft sand that doesn’t burn feet. House has outside shower and then you can dry off on a beautiful deck with nice furniture. A dollar general 1.5 miles North on A1A and a Publix and WalMart a short drive. Location is about 1.5 hours from Sanford Orlando airport and about 2 hours from Disnsy. About 20 minutes from St Augustine where there are many attractions for tourists. The food was good and reasonably priced at the seafood restaurant on the corner and just a short walk. Check in was very fast and easy. Nice washer and dryer provided. Military get in free at the St Augustine Fort plus 3 family members. I highly recommend this property to all except people who would have trouble with stairs. The house has steps outside and inside. Very nice parking area for several cars. TV in each bedroom and the sitting area downstairs. Beautiful view of the ocean from the kitchen table. We had trouble seeing the house number. It is on a large rock beside driveway 2800 is the house that I reviewed. Beachfront Hideaway.

Week vacation with family

We had a great time at this place. We enjoyed the easy access to the beach and close proximity to everything around the area. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The only thing I wish it had was an outdoor grill. We will definitely consider this place again in the future when coming back to St Augustine.
