Your vacation to Wrightsville Beach will be all about sun, fun, and relaxation in this cozy 3 BR, 1.5 Bath Beach Cottage. This home is located just a short walk to the beach. Avoid all of the busyness and traffic of the main stretch of Wrightsville Beach in the quiet and family-friendly community of South Harbor Island. Harbor Island is in the heart of Wrightsville Beach and one of the most sought-after locations in Southeastern North Carolina. This area is known for its quiet nature, convenient access to all the local attractions, and is extremely family friendly.

When you arrive at the cottage, there are three convenient entrances to the house, via the front door, garage, or back door. The rocking chair front porch leads directly into a spacious living area, including a TV equipped with a Roku and large sectional sofa, perfect for relaxing to watch a movie, or looking directly out a large widow over Banks Channel. Also in the main living area is a dining room with comfortable sitting for up to 6 people to enjoy dinner, and a charming kitchen perfect for preparing dinner or sandwiches for a day at the beach. Off the living room is a sundeck overlooking beautiful Banks Channel, perfect for enjoying morning coffee, dinner, or an evening glass of wine.

Down the hallway are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is outfitted with a king size bed, and the second and third bedrooms each have their own queen bed. Full size bathroom includes a combo shower and tub, and the downstairs half bath serves as a second bathroom option, with adjacent enclosed outdoor shower.

Upon waking in the morning, enjoy your morning coffee on the rocking chair front porch or side deck overlooking Banks Channel. Once you are ready for the beach, load up the beach wagon we provide with boogie boards and beach chairs, which are also included. Then, take a short walk across the bridge and enjoy a day in the sun and sand, or launch your kayak steps away from the cottage at public water access. Upon your return home, enjoy showering off the sand in the enclosed outdoor shower. The home is located just off the Wrightsville Beach Loop, which is a well known 2.5 mile walking/running trail with beautiful views of the water. Take the kids over to Wrightsville Beach park to play on the playground, or for a quick tennis match or basketball game. Also just a short walk away, are numerous restaurant options, including Tower 7, Trolley Stop, Flying Machine Brewery, and Zeke’s. Also located within walking distance is Roberts’ Grocery Store, an ice cream shop, and numerous places to shop!

Stay Requirements: 3 night minimum stay. Check in: 4 p.m. Check out: 10 a.m.
Included: 4 beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, beach wagon, 2 bicycles, pack and play and high chair if needed.

Parking: Driveway fits 2 cars, 1 car beside driveway.
All linens included.

Would recommend - Great place!

Our family had a great time. A short walk to the beach, convenient shopping, well provisioned VRBO. The host provided a great welcome package, notes on the area, restaurant recommendations, bikes to ride, beach equipment.

Perfect family weekend getaway

We loved our stay at this adorable Wrightsville beach cottage. It was spotless, had every amenity we could possibly need and was a great location for walking to the beach and restaurants. Very comfortable stay. The hosts were very communicative and the welcome basket of treats was such a nice gesture.

This home has everything you could need for a beach stay and more- literally so much more than pictured it was amazing!! Was so nice to be by the water in this quiet neighborhood when the beach was super crowded. Will definitely recommend to family visiting us too!!

Cute Cottage excellent location

This was an exceptional property in a quiet neighborhood with a great view and easy access to The beach. Banks Channel is viewed from the living room and deck and accessible as there’s a small park less then 1-minute from the house where you can sit and watch the water. I will stay again…soon!!!

Perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay here. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our long weekend. It had a very home away from home, and comfortable feel The location and walkability to Wrightsville Beach was also great!! we loved having the bikes available to bike around and tour the area, including a loop. Would love to go back sometime!

Beautiful home on Harbor Island

We loved our stay at Helen and Larry's beach cottage. Harbor Island is beautiful and quiet with lovely views of the water and public water access. There are tons of toys and games and beach items for young children. The beach supplies- chairs, umbrella, cart are all in amazing condition. You can tell this is a family home with a lot of love, would definitely recommend!

Fabulous beach cottage with amazing hosts

This really is a great home base for Wrightsville. So glad we got to meet Helen and Larry, they are very kind and really want your stay to be perfect and comfortable - going above and beyond with flexibility, communication, and a very thoughtful and generous goody basket! You can tell they love their home and take excellent care of it. Lovely water views and to us, the ideal location with the feelof being “at the beach” while being out of the hustle and bustle.

What a fantastic home!

My family and I (two young boys, 6 & 8) stayed for 3 weeks here and had a ball! Everything was at our fingertips and we could not have had a better experience. Lovely renovated cottage with views of the channel water from the deck and living room. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for the week. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and local restaurants. The owners and property manager responded quickly to emails and welcomed us with an amazing gift basket and a folder with very helpful information. We would definitely stay there again.

Cozy Beach Cottage

Well… not exactly cozy! This home was actually quite larger than I had imagined. If you want a place right on the water with lots of charm, space and modern amenities, this is the spot for you. This 1940s beach house has kept the cozy cottage feel times before, but has been updated in a very beautiful way. I especially loved the lovely polished floors, crown molding in the living space and gorgeous base boards. There were several living spaces to choose from which was perfect for a group. The icing on the cake was there was a fully stocked garage/basement with beach toys for all ages, umbrellas, chairs and even a cart. You won’t regret booking this gem.

Wonderful! Better than expected!

The only reason I gave accuracy of listing a 4 was because it was better than expected! This house has more space than you think. The entire basement is a great living space, especially for kids. It could be considered an extra bedroom. We love the old school charm of this cottage. The house had everything we needed. The owners were wonderful to work with and made us feel right at home. The water views are so nice. Easy access to the water for paddle-boarding, etc. just across the street. Quiet, beautiful area just outside the hustle and bustle of the beach. Quick walk or bike ride to the action. Would stay here again!

Perfect Stay

The cottage was perfect in every way…peaceful, comfortable, welcoming…it felt like home. We loved the spaciousness and room to spread out. The porches were wonderful, with great views of the water. All the neighbors were so friendly. It felt like a super safe, close knit community. Enjoyed all the extras that our hosts provided, including a huge welcome basket filled with goodies, ample towels (and beach towels), and the well stocked coffee bar. We enjoyed having the bikes to ride around the island, as well as having access to the beach gear, including beach chairs we could use for our sunset viewing in the nearby park. The beds were very comfortable, and we could always depend on a great shower with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The location was also perfect. We walked to the beach every day, and it was so easy to get out and see all the sights. Thank you so much Helen and Larry for a wonderful stay!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST IN WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH

Upon our arrival we felt extremely at home with this home. The location is immaculate as it is just outside of the hustle and bustle of the main strip of Wrightsville Beach. The amount of time and effort saved on missing the hectic traffic was worth the stay alone. Inside was gorgeous. The owners left us behind so many snacks and other goodies which made our stay so much better. Each bedroom had its beachy decor and comfy beds. This home is much bigger than advertised with wonderful views and plentiful locations to gather for family and friends. There is even a downstairs with plenty of space and lounging and on top of that so many options of beach necessities that will make your trip even easier! Of all the houses I have stayed at this house was the most prepared and organized home. This host is the best as well continuously going above and beyond even after our stay! I recommend this to any family or friends who is thinking about visiting our small little beach town for any amount of time! We will hopefully be back soon!

Wonderful cottage seconds away from the beach.

Had a fantastic stay in a super lovely home. Checkin was a breeze and everything you could possibly want was available at the space. We loved riding the bikes around the quite neighborhood and being able to stroll right to the water. Plenty of room for the whole family to enjoy the stay.
