Welcome to Illustrator Cottage

Illustrator Cottage is located in the Goshorn Lake Resort. This artistically decorated home is here to provide the best experience this summer, leaving you with many laughs and memories. It is located just two miles outside of downtown Saugatuck, not even a 5 minute, and a short walk to the Dune Rides. Has shared access with Goshorn Lake and their sandy beach, a volleyball court, shuffleboard, horseshoes, jungle gyms, sandboxes, and a heated pool. Illustrator Cottage is the perfect getaway making you want to stay longer.

INSIDE THE HOME
Walk into a recently updated cottage, with a fully equipped kitchen (equipped with the basics), screened in porch, and decently sized bed and bath. This cottage has one bedroom (queen size) and one full bath. The full bath has handicap accessible rails for help in and out of the shower. There is also a ramp leading up to the entrance of this cottage. The living room does have a pull out sofa that turns into a double size bed. Come in after a long day Kayaking on Goshorn lake to relax and grill out. Wake up and enjoy your morning coffee on the screened in porch and listen to the birds.

THE LOCATION
This resort is in such an amazing location and still has so much to offer for everyone in your group. Leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. With all that the resort has to offer you might not want to leave, but in the chance you do downtown Saugatuck is a 4 minute drive away. Want to go out and explore? Holland is a 15 minute drive, Oval Beach is less than 10 minutes, and South Haven is 20 minutes away.

Goshorn Lake #10 is a standalone home within Goshorn Lake Resort. If you're traveling with a larger group, we manage five other cottages in this same resort. The homes are intended to be rented separately, but can easily be booked together for group getaways.

*Laundry is located in a separate building and requires coins.

This cottage was adorable and perfect for my stay. It is small, but it had everything that I needed. I especially loved the screened in porch. The art throughout the cottage is quirky and led to many interesting conversations. The location is perfect and close to everything I needed. The beach is lovely with many amenities, including a play structure for children and kayaks. There’s also a basketball court near the beach and a wide expanse of grass perfect for games or picnics. The pool is beautiful and clean. I loved the serene setting- it felt very private. I especially appreciated the excellent communication with the host who saw to my every need! I highly recommend this adorable little cottage for your next getaway!

Perfect Location

This resort was very well maintained and offered a pool and private access to Goshorn Lake. The stay in Cottage 10 was great. It was very cozy and comfortable, and it was in a great location close to downtown.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay. The lake and beach were perfect for young kids and we had fun at the pool too. The cottage was small but cute, functional, and fairly clean. We'd consider staying here again in the future.

The whole experience was great from beginning to end. Although i communicated with the staff via text and email - there still were no issues. They were very helpful, professional, and pleasant. All the amenities were great! The cottage was fully stocked and immaculate. We are thinking about making this an annual trip gong forward. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice get away.

My kids and I loved the Illustrator Cottage! It's on the small size, but well laid out. The fold out kitchen table is a nice touch. Check-in couldn't have been easier. And the facilities ar Goshorn Lake were fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Illustrator Cottage was a quaint retreat. The vibe was retro, comfortable and perfectly coordinated. The resort had so much to offer in addition to our cottage. Boats, kayaks, swimming, game room, fishing dock, beach, pool and more! It was so close to everything. We couldn’t have asked for more!
Ready for our 30th anniversary dinner date! From flip flops to fancy (ish).

Great location

Charming little cottage, clean and well-maintained. It was a tight fit for 4 people, but we made it work. Private lake was wonderful!!!

So happy to be back at Goshorn Lake

I love this resort. I used to bring my children each summer when they were small. It's a lovely resort and everyone is very friendly. The Illustrator cabin was perfect for just the 2 of us. Cute and cozy. We'll definitely be back!

Great getaway

More amenities in the house than I expected The fishing, kayaking, swimming, basketball and other activities there were just what we needed to get off of electronics and disconnect. My kids didn't even ask to turn on the TV I'd would bring extra blankets next time, otherwise, great time and wish we had a longer stay. Looking forward to doing it again

Wonderfull family oriented group of charming cottages. Park right at your front door. A short walk to a private beach on a picturesque 27 acre lake. Nice pool. Basketball court. Sand volleyball. Quiet. Relaxing.

Perfect location

Our family loved the amenities at Goshorn Lake Resort with easy access to the lake/water sports and the pool. Our only negatives about the cottage were some areas that could use cleaning (cobwebs in corners, and dirty sheets on the pull-our couch). There were no pillowcases for the pillows to be used on the pullout couch. We also wish the cottage offered a couple of beach towels.
