Such a challenging situation. We aren’t able to share fully the truth and veracity in regards to guests, but we will say that we received a 5 star review before this guest from a great family, and we also received a 5 star review after this guest from a great family. In our 4 years of hosting, we have never recieved a 1 star review. This guest currently owe’s us a new mattress due to severe staining and damage after their stay. This guest did not uphold the rules of our community and quite frankly didn’t share the same values of our family or our normal guests. Our cleaners are committed, kind, and thoughtful. To throw them under the bus along with the quality of our home is hurtful and deceitful. The guest only left us a 1 star review because we asked them to replace a very expensive mattress they ruined with bodily fluids due to over consumption of low quality spirits(left all over the property). If we didn’t request they replace the damaged items they would not have left a review like they had. We also have confirmed sightings of their vehicles at our home EVERY night of their vacation…they did not stay at a nearby hotel as they claim. They just have no barometer for truth in fear of having to pay for a damaged good. We take pride in our homes, our children help us in-between guests to leave personal and thoughtful gifts for incoming guests…. And every so often a guest comes like Sarah and their group and reminds us that “when they go low…we can still go high”. Our family has replaced the damaged mattress and we know we will continue to shine despite attempts from dishonest guests like sarah. Premier Hosts and casual hosts beware, this guest is not trustworthy and should not be offered housing on this platform or any. We do hope that Sarah learns from this experience, but we rest in the facts and we move on with grace and forgiveness.

Michael, Thank you for your stay. We tried our best to get you in quickly for the christmas holiday. I’m sorry to hear about the cleaning issues, those are not often heard with our excellent cleaning vendor. We will address these with her as they are able. As for the other comments, i think you perhaps saw the home during the off season after a busy summer. We love our homes and we try our best to make them 5 stars, but the ‘after summer’ upkeep is generally done during the spring months. We will certainly care for the items you mentioned. I do wish you had given us the 5 stars and addressed your issues upon checking in so we could have spent the 20 minutes needed to make sure you had an even better stay. Alas, we move to 2025 with pleasure. Thanks for your stay, and we wish you and your family a healthy and happy 2025.
