1-Bed w/Private Entrance, quarters attached to main house, 10 Min from Downtown!

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. It will give you a great place to lay your head while being near Downtown and just a couple miles from the heart of Bishop Arts District. Enter from our private guest entrance in the back and enjoy the backyard and patio, as well as access to washer & dryer. Private guest quarters is attached to main house, but remains solely yours during your stay.
ADDITIONAL INFO: pet fee is $40 per stay. (Max 2 pets) Please note: The guest suite is attached to the main house with access through the backyard. There is a thin interior door between our kitchen and your walkway space, so occasional noise (such as voices or conversation) may be heard from both sides. We also have a friendly dog who may bark when guests arrive, but we do our best to keep her quiet and ensure a peaceful stay. The bedroom door is a sliding barn door without a lock, but the backyard door has a lock and the door to the main house remains locked.

Nice place. Easy enough to access. A little low on some of the amenities, we had to improvise and use shampoo as body wash! But the place was clean, and the bed was comfy!

Exactly what we needed!

My fiance and I stayed here when we were going to a concert at the Kessler Theatre! It was exactly like the pictures and was perfect for us. Check in was great (the hosts allowed us to have a late check out as well!) and the suite had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area!

Nice place

This place was a fine spot. Only had trouble with the door lock at first, but it wasn’t too hard to open. Aside from that, the door was a slight struggle closing/opening, but overall the place was nice and I enjoyed my stay. It was quiet and the hosts were not at all disruptive or intrusive. They kept to themselves.

Wonderful listening. Clean and well kept.

The space is small, but clean and cozy. There is no TV or wifi, so if you're entertaining yourself you'll want to bring something with you.

Thanks for your 5 star review, Scott! We take pride in keeping it nice and clean for our guests. 😊 I did want to mention that we definitely do have fast Wi-Fi. Unlike Airbnb where it’s easy to find the Wi-Fi info upon checkin, I’ll make sure that it gets sent when checking in through VRBO.

Overall it was a decent stay. The only downfalls were no hot water, the neighborhood was a little concerning, and there was also music blasting all throughout the night. Wouldn’t stay here again for the price, and also I’d suggest to bring your own pillows.

Was in Dallas for work so just needed a place to sleep and this listing is excellent for that. Late hours were quiet, room was cool, and bed was relatively comfortable (a little soft for me but it's personal preference). Two things that would have made it better for me: 1, the air freshener is quite strong, which is understandable why they have it, but I had a slight headache from it. 2, there were bugs from the outside constantly coming in. I can tell the owners are trying to deal with it because there is insulation stuff on the door, but lots of moths, a mosquito, and some others on pretty much every night. Overall though, very good stay and I would probably stay again at the same rate.

So Disappointing

The welcome package sent by the owner clearly stated check-in was at 3 PM (I have the document and photos). The unit wasn't cleaned. The owner claimed check-in was at 5. Well, the unit wasn't cleaned at 5, either. It was so disgusting and the co-owners so clueless and rude I had to leave. Stay away. Dallas is a great city, and you can find countless other good options.

Scam artist

DO NOT STAY at this property. There is not a lock on the door to the room advertised. This is an unsafe neighborhood. There was knocking on my door in the middle of the night. I was terrified and felt unsafe. I asked the host for a lock to the door but was denied. VRBO did not accommodate in canceling this reservation. VRBO does not have a policy for helping renters in unsafe living conditions.

The room and bathroom were excellent, albeit there was no air conditioning, just a fan. The issues are the access and the noise. To access the property you have to go around the back of the house, through a large wooden gate that needs rehung, it doesn’t open very well and at night there is no light, therefore you will need your phone’s flashlight, moreover the ground is not level beside the gate, watch your step. Other issue is the noise from the air conditioning unit next to the bedroom wall. It’s constantly on and very noisy. You have been warned. Don’t stay here!
