Good communication with owner. Very helpful.
Property was well-maintained and easily found even with a late checkin. Location was great--close enough to area restaurants and shopping without the chaos of being downtown all the time. The owner messaged us to verify all was okay. Through no fault of the owner, our mistake was going in mid/late June. The temps were in the 3 digits daily, so we were limited to what we could do outside in San Antonio with my parents in their 70s. We did venture to the downtown area around the Alamo once, but just stayed long enough to say that we "saw" it and the Riverwalk, then came straight back to house to cool off in the A/C. Due to this factor and us being on the last leg of a 2-week trip, we left a day early. Now, what I liked best about our stay was the showers. They were HEAVEN! My husband has already been looking for the same fixture for our next remodel. What I enjoyed least was probably the living room furniture and the pots/pans that need updating in the kitchen. It's just taste really--the furniture was more "posh" than comfortable. I'm sure these issues wouldnt have been as noticeable if we had been able to get out more. Owner went above and beyond to help us with an item we left. All-in-all, it was a good stay--just next time we'll visit in a more temperate season.
