Great location

The property is as described and is kept nice and clean. It’s a nice house with everything you need for an extended stay. The neighborhood is a quiet one and well located to most SA attractions.

Our family had a lovely stay in this beautiful home!! It was perfect for a quick weekend getaway. The house was clean and the customer service was amazing...even down to helping us celebrate a family birthday!! We recommend staying here and will most definitely be back!

Nice and quiet

Our family really enjoyed the stay at this house. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and has great proximity to grocery stores, restaurants as well as the airport. The wifi strength could be better but that would be the only concern, especially if you have multiple people streaming.

Love this house!

We love it because it’s clean and not updated. It has a family feel you don’t often get. The neighborhood os a San Antonio classic and very safe. The only caveats are WiFi is very slow and weak coverage. The master bedroom mattress is not good for someone with a bad back. (Personal taste) All else is great for a large(r) family who wants to be in a great neighborhood and feel comfortable.

San Antonio Xmas Stay

Overall it was OK but the property inside was a bit dated. The oven was from 1989, but I have to say it worked. The tile floor was old and had many spots where the tiles seemed loose. Also we had many areas where the grout around the tile was coming out. The bedrooms were ok. along with the bathrooms. We did have a few issues, 1. The washing machine broke down during the stay. It would not drain. I contacted the management company, Birdy Enterprise and got a 15 to 20 minute sales recording. I then got a prompt to leave a voicemail. I left a voice mail and they did get back to me relatively fast. I let them know about the washing machine and they could not get a technician out till the next day. Once the technician arrived he examined the machine and determined it needed a part of which he could not tell me. He said someone would call me but I never received a call and the machine was not fixed during our visit. Needless to say we ended up having to go use a laundromat to wash our clothes before we departed. 2. When we went to use the grill it was broken. The start switch would not work. 3. We had in one of the showers the knob fell off. We had to put it back on ourselves. Also there was not enough paper towels or toilet paper for our visit. We had to purchase some from the store. I feel this could have been a better experience if the place was maintained a bit better. Needs to be upgraded. For what we paid it should have been better. Not happy with Birdy Vacations Company.

Clean roomy home

Great location where we needed (northwest SA) and very quiet neighborhood. There was plenty of room to spread out, and it was very clean. Our only complaint was the difficulty of getting local channels on the tv's. We were unfamiliar with the provider and how to get to local channels. We tried signing into our Hulu, Paramount, etc. accounts with a little success but couldn't watch major college footballs games. Also, bring your own batteries in case the remote(s) are out. But overall, it is a great property for families with a nicely equipped kitchen and three full bathrooms! It was also easy to get in and out with the combo lock on the door. It was also easy to communicate with David who was very responsive!

Cool Vintage home under the trees

Great vintage home. Quaint and dated, but was very spacious. Clean and well ventilated on a very hot summer day!!! Would recommend this home.

Lovely neighborhood.

The house is spacious and the beds were comfortable. We did not receive check in instructions and had to make several lengthy phone calls to get a hold of the manager, they were in the process of removing the listing and therefor everything took a phone call. We had no wash cloths, TV or internet instructions and he trash was running over outside and the neighbor came over and stayed for 30minutes telling us how all the guests are terrible. We own our own VRBO and I was disappointed that we had this experience for the money we paid. There were many parts of the house you are locked out of. No access to garage either. Once we were able to get ahold of the manager he was gracious and friendly buit the process was terribly stressful.

Great!

This rental was in our neighborhood so the location was great for us. Very clean, spacious, and quiet . We had trouble with the key code but manager assistant called within 15 minutes to give us a new code. We hope to use again for visiting family members! .

Perfect For My Family

It was perfect. The house was nicely decorated, very clean, very cozy and well equipped with it everything we needed, dishes, utensils, appliances...etc. The neighborhood was very nice and close to stores and restaurants. The only question we had was what type of coffee maker, so we could buy the proper coffee filters and coffee. We guessed and purchased the original type of filters, but the house had a single cup coffee maker that used K-cup pods. My family and I were in town last minute due to the death of my sister, we felt lucky to have found this house, it served our purpose and we were all very please with the house. Thank you.

Lovely home.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. The home was well appointed with all needed supplies and was sparkling clean. It was spacious and perfect for our party of 5 adults and two young children.

Wonderful management

The event we were gonna attend was interrupted by Covid19 issues the day before check-in. We ended up not using the property but David's office was very professional and timely in their response and even gave back 100% refund. We would surely love to stay at this property. The rating may not be accurate because we did not stay at the property but from the correspondence with management, I believe that the property lives up to its description. Thank you Mr. David Birdy!

Our stay at La Sombra

Since we booked the property until we left the house, we felt very well attended by David and Christina. They are super host. We began our stay with a delicious cake that was provided to us by David. The house is perfect, very clean, very spacious and it is very well located. The neighborhood is very secure. We spent a great New Year’s Eve.
