Briar Creek: Beautiful, Pet Friendly Cabin Beside a Stream in The Great Smoky Mountains

Located only 7.5 miles from the Gatlinburg city limits and just miles from downtown, Briar Creek is an intimate, economical, and efficient cabin. Its amenities include a separate bedroom with a queen bed, a full bath with a tub and shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a gas fireplace, a sleeper sofa, and an outdoor hot tub on a beautiful deck overlooking a small mountain stream. Briar Creek is pet friendly for a pet no larger than 50 pounds with a $50 non-refundable pet fee and is represented by a #7 in the highlighted portion of the map. A new community game room has been added to the area with a pool table, air hockey table, ping pong table, game tables, assorted board games, foosball, electronic darts, and a washer and dryer. There is a refrigerator and microwave along with 2 large flat screen TVs for your enjoyment. Outside there is a large open fire pit near the rushing water. All of its amenities and creek side location make this cabin a great vacation spot!

Good with some concerns

When we arrived the deck surrounding the jacuzi was not clean. We found spiders and bugs too so this place definitely need bug treatment. In picture the place looked like good size but when we reached it was tiny. As per my family place was dark inside. Might need more lights. Small space above the bedroom had dust and had spiders. Game room also has bigger size spider in the sink on ground floor which we complained too to th guy who was cleaning the jacuzi. We complained about the deck cleaning surrounding the jacuzi so it was later cleaned. In bedroom the dust pan and broom was kept which was not giving the nice feeling. It should have been kept somewhere else.

Our stay at Briar lake cabin

Overall, a good vacation! Love the privacy and seclusion of the cabin yet could be downtown within a few minutes drive. Got two free downtown garage parking tickets. Easy check in/out. Everything was there: coffee pot, towels,iron, mop and broom, etc. Hot tub with the creek in the background ahh perfection! BUT..There are a few things that could be improved needs deep cleaning. There was dust over the beams. Not good for someone who has severe allergies. Water pressure in shower not the good at all especially if you have long ..Fireplace didn't work but the maintenance person was quick to respond and try to get it working. Lastly, the floor vents was loose and would pop out when you walk near them yet despite all of this I would most definitely stay again. Good location, peaceful, and beautiful..
