Buckeye Lake’s premiere vacation rental located in historic downtown Millersport, Ohio. Completely renovated in 2022, this 1-bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment is the perfect place for a weekend getaway at the lake. Seasonally decorated, within walking distance to local dining and shops, easy access to area bike path, and a serene drive to the lake’s best hot spots! The loft boasts a fully equipped kitchen, airy living area, sliding barn doors, luxurious bedroom w/ fine linens, and spa style bathroom!

I have stayed at this property numerous times when I come to Ohio to study. The upstairs loft is clean with lovely, modern appliances and a comfortable king-sized bed. I always feel quite safe staying in it. The host always provides nice amenities in the bathroom.

This newly renovated loft was everything it promised! Beautifully decorated, extremely clean and convenient location were all things we appreciated and did not disappoint! We would highly recommend and would love to come back!

Exceeded expectations. An incredible unit with much more space than the photos show. Great communication with owners too.

Staycation!!!!

Beautifully updated, with everything u could need in house. Host was easily contacted. Not a thing I would change, plan to stay again. Great spot by buckeye lake. Coffee shop just 100 feet, great breakfast / lunch.

Welcome to Canal Side Loft! I am Marnita Swickard and I am a resident here at Buckeye Lake. As a licensed realtor for 28+ years, my true passion is creating unique spaces that encompass the lake lifestyle.
My love for lake-living started as a child with my grandparents who owned lakefront property in Florida. Born in Florida, I spent endless hours with my family creating lake memories of swimming, tubing, waterskiing, and fishing. After graduating high school I started spending my weekends at Buckeye Lake. I knew then I wanted to create my own family lake memories.
As someone who grew up around the water, lake living is my passion. My hope with this property is for you to create countless memories and traditions here at the lake.

We are so happy you chose Canal Side Loft for your stay! If you need anything during your time here, please let us know.
Built prior to 1900, this brick building has a long history of local commerce throughout the years. We had the opportunity to purchase the building from the owners and operators of the Millersport General Store in 2014. We relocated our boutique, Buckeye Lake Place from the Village of Buckeye Lake with a grand opening date of April, 2014. Local historians tell us the second floor was long used as a Masonic Lodge, meeting room, and later a coffee shop. Buckeye Lake Place utilized this space as storage until January, 2022. Canal Side Loft was a distant dream and now a reality!
