森と小川のある静かな農地に囲まれた小丘にある魅力的なコテージ。東と西に面したポーチからは、途切れることのない牧歌的な景色が見渡せます。コテージは最近改装されましたが、木製の床が元の特徴を保っています。階下には、リビングルーム、ダイニングルーム、キッチン、バスルーム、クイーンサイズベッド付きのベッドルームがあります。 2階には軒下に2つの快適なベッドルームがあります。 1室にはツインベッド、もう1室にはダブルベッドがあります。

Weekend Getaway

We had a very relaxing and wonderful time here. We especially enjoyed spotting butterflies, firefly’s, and lots of cows. There is plenty of hiking spots and beautiful scenery & sunsets/sunrises to enjoy.

Perfect!!

This was my second day here at the cottage. First time was in the fall, and I fell in love with the place had to come back in the summer to see all the garden in bloom. I was a little worried that there was no AC but the nights are cool and there’s always a breeze. I was comfortable the whole time and I was there over the July 4 weekend. Enjoyed exploring the property, we got plenty of walking in finding the whimsical gates and bridges and even a tunnel. It is just so beautiful and peaceful. Perfect place to relax and reset.

Experience

A memorable stay made new friends. The cottage was like Home. I did not want leave everything. Everyone was most accommodating. The host went out of her way to help me in my quest looking for property. Beautiful garden, beautiful scenery. A high point of my stay was siding two bears. I will be back.

Comfortable cottage in tranquil countryside

Our stay in this cottage was perfect. The picturesque setting was amazing and we enjoyed interacting with our bird and cow neighbors. There are lots of trails that we enjoyed exploring on our host’s property. But most of all, we enjoyed the English hospitality of our host Teresa who prepared a flower arrangement and carrot bread for our arrival. We will return again soon. RuthGardner, Staunton , VA

It was fabulous. So nice and relaxing to have coffee on the porch and enjoy the cool mornings. To see the many deer walking around the property and coming up the road. Hearing the cows in the fields. The owner has a wonderful personality and is so talented, from cooking, to the fresh cut flowers in the home upon arrival. Seeing her garden and all the beautiful flowers she had planted. It was just a great weekend and we enjoyed it so much. We really wanted to stay. I’ll definitely be going back and spending more time.. the property alone is worth walking through. It’s definitely a paradise.

Dugspur Country Farmstead

Wonderful early November stay in beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Carroll County, Va. Great quiet getaway in true countryside. We loved it. Authentic and relaxing. I love this stay. The Palmer’s are great hosts too. Thanks!

Lovely Stay

We loved our weekend getaway. I will say it was a little colder than we expected and the only heat was plug in radiators. Overall a fantastic trip and Theresa was incredibly kind.

So Cozy!

I had such a good time. It’s a beautiful property and the cottage is absolutely adorable. One of the coziest places I’ve stayed and I’ll definitely recommend this for people looking for a getaway. I’ll definitely come back in the future!

Lovely quiet cottage

If you want some peace and quiet, with no traffic,you need to stay here. Theresa, the owner, is very polite and accommodating. She had cookies, and fresh flowers waiting for us.

Wonderful place and fabulous hostess.

Country Cottage

Escape to the country

We had a lovely stay in this cottage. The views are soul filling, beds are comfortable, and decor is full of homemade charm. We met dogs, sheep, cows and deer along with friendly hosts and neighbors. We plan to come back.

Uncomplicated in a very positive way

We should have stayed longer but we will be back ! Enjoyed it very much, especially the owners are very friendly and let you wander round their property with ponds, forest and gardens.

4th of July get away

The cottage lived up to it's name. Simply Charming cottage. The setting was beautiful. Owner were very attentive. Love the carrot cake that was waiting for us. We will be back!

オーナー : Theresa Palmer

Owners Brian & Theresa Palmer designers from the UK. We moved to the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains 10 years ago. Knoll cottage is situated across the field from our home and studio. We enjoy walking the hundred acres of pasture and woodland, and our guests are welcome to do the same. We often bike the New River Trail and are happy to let the guests have the use of four bicycles as well as canoe and kayak. We are keen gardeners and raise our own organic vegetables. Weekends are spent mainly outside enjoying the peace and beauty of the surrounding area.
