Comfortable cottage in tranquil countryside

Our stay in this cottage was perfect. The picturesque setting was amazing and we enjoyed interacting with our bird and cow neighbors. There are lots of trails that we enjoyed exploring on our host’s property. But most of all, we enjoyed the English hospitality of our host Teresa who prepared a flower arrangement and carrot bread for our arrival. We will return again soon. RuthGardner, Staunton , VA

Dugspur Country Farmstead

Wonderful early November stay in beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Carroll County, Va. Great quiet getaway in true countryside. We loved it. Authentic and relaxing. I love this stay. The Palmer’s are great hosts too. Thanks!

Lovely Stay

We loved our weekend getaway. I will say it was a little colder than we expected and the only heat was plug in radiators. Overall a fantastic trip and Theresa was incredibly kind.

So Cozy!

I had such a good time. It’s a beautiful property and the cottage is absolutely adorable. One of the coziest places I’ve stayed and I’ll definitely recommend this for people looking for a getaway. I’ll definitely come back in the future!

Lovely quiet cottage

If you want some peace and quiet, with no traffic,you need to stay here. Theresa, the owner, is very polite and accommodating. She had cookies, and fresh flowers waiting for us.

Wonderful place and fabulous hostess.

Theresa and Brian are so kind and helpful. I love this place so much. The views are the best and everything is just perfect. We always love the porch and just relaxing w/ the views, birds, cows and sheep. My favorite destination!!

Escape to the country

We had a lovely stay in this cottage. The views are soul filling, beds are comfortable, and decor is full of homemade charm. We met dogs, sheep, cows and deer along with friendly hosts and neighbors. We plan to come back.

Country Cottage

Uncomplicated in a very positive way

4th of July get away

The cottage lived up to it's name. Simply Charming cottage. The setting was beautiful. Owner were very attentive. Love the carrot cake that was waiting for us. We will be back!

オーナー : Theresa Palmer

Owners Brian & Theresa Palmer designers from the UK. We moved to the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains 10 years ago. Knoll cottage is situated across the field from our home and studio. We enjoy walking the hundred acres of pasture and woodland, and our guests are welcome to do the same. We often bike the New River Trail and are happy to let the guests have the use of four bicycles as well as canoe and kayak. We are keen gardeners and raise our own organic vegetables. Weekends are spent mainly outside enjoying the peace and beauty of the surrounding area.
