Elevated eclectic yurt with wrap-around porch, hot tub, and mountain view!

Elevated eclectic yurt with wrap-around porch and mountain view; nearby Blue Ridge Parkway and only 5 miles away from Fancy Gap, VA. Enjoy the stillness of a get-away with the convenience of easy access to amenities. Great for small groups (including families with children) or can be reserved for larger groups in conjunction with neighboring yurts (3 total). Dog friendly. Fresh mountain air and bright stars included with reservation.
The space
The Bee Hive is elevated on the mountain between 2 neighboring yurts. Yurts can be rented individually or in groups. They are separated enough for privacy if desired and close enough to walk between to visit with neighbors if booked in groups. Bee Hive boasts a spacious wrap around porch with a gorgeous view, a fully equipped kitchen for vacation meals, a huge soaking bath tub, a large loft, gas fireplace, and entertainment. The porch is enclosed to be dog and kid-friendly, and the driveway is accessible for sedans, SUVs, and motorcycles. The Bee Hive is great space to check in and stay put to unwind OR to rest your head in between outdoor adventures and small town exploring.

-18 miles to Cumberland Knob hiking trail
-19 miles to Mount Airy, NC- where “The Andy Griffith Show” was filmed; various options for dining and shopping here
-32 miles from Buffalo Mountain Natural Area Preserve and hiking trail
-35 miles from Floyd, home of FloydFest Music Festival

The Bee Hive is off the beaten path while also being very close to small mountain local antique shops, a Dollar General (4.7 mi), and Walmart (11 mi) for light groceries or forgotten travel items.

This space is “glamping” at its best; you pack your clothes and food and we provide the rest!

Additional air mattress, linens, high chair, and pack-and-play available upon request.

Charcoal grill available for use, but please bring charcoal.

Host was very prompt answering questions that we had pre-trip. We did not have any questions during our stay. The amentities were wonderful. From shampoo and conditioner, to pancake mix for breakfast, to several movie DVDs, to stacked wood to use at the fire pit. This was a most enjoyable stay.

The place was very cute. It was beautifully decorated. We loved everything except for the pullout couch. My wife and our golden doodle slept on it and she said it was uncomfortable . I wish we would have been able to spend more time outside on the deck. It was a little cool, so we didn’t use the hot tub. We loved how we could let the furry one hang out on the deck. The view nearby was incredible.

We had such a wonderful time! The yurt was a perfect little getaway for our anniversary. They provided everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing weekend together. The bee hive is so cute and cozy. 10/10 will visit again.

Nice yurt with modern amenities. Relaxing with great views.I wish I would have known about the 20 stone steps leading up to the yurt. It says elevated yurt, but nothing about the steps. I handled them, but someone else may not. That may need to be clarified in the description.

The yurt was perfect! Very clean and equipped with everything we needed. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The board & card games were an added plus. We didnt get to use any outdoor amenities as it stormed our entire stay, but it ended up being the perfect getaway. Highly recommended as we will be back again!

The stay was great! Loved everything about the bee hive. The place was wonderful and peaceful! Great for a quick weekend get away. The only down side is I wish the wifi would have been better for streaming on the tv. The movies and dvd player was pleasant enough

Highly Recommend

This was the cutest yurt and had everything we needed from cooking ware to comfort and entertainment. Great wifi service, great location for relaxing and exploring nature activities and local shops. Not a negative thing to say. Would come again and highly recommend!

Amazing!!

Beautiul and relaxing. Area hiking/walking trails were great. It was the perfect place to disconnect, relax and recharge.Will definetly look into booking again.

Great overnight spot when traveling south/north on I-77

We are heading south for the winter and needed an overnight spot. We wanted something different to a hotel. This yurt… AMAZING! Extremely clean. About 5-10 minutes off the highway. Restaurant nearby. Secluded but not “scary” secluded (if you know what I mean). The yurt has all the accommodations you need and is EXTREMELY comfortable with plenty of space. Perfect after a day of driving!
