Welcome to Kona Mansions, Unit#C-309! Beautiful Top Floor Unit in Heart of Kona Town, Walk to everything!

Located in downtown Kailua, this front row, third-floor unit has spectacular ocean views in Kona Mansions condos.
Walk to Ali'i Drive and experience great restaurants, wonderful shopping & Honls Beach close by!

Enjoy Air Conditioning Wall Unit for Comfort in the Living Area! While no lanai available, there is a Juliette Balcony/railing to enjoy breezes coming in.

King Sized Bed! Great option for 2 people. Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring installed throughout, no carpet!

Walk in Shower in the Bathroom! Washer/Dryer for Access.

On the 3rd and top floor. There is no elevator but it's a nice gentle open air staircase. The top floor is the best... quieter than lower floors, better breezes and nice views out toward the ocean from the breezeway.

Great location. Quiet building. We enjoyed the pool & BBQ area next to beautiful gardens. The unit was clean and comfortable, it met our needs. AC was good, but the breeze kept things relatively cool so didn’t use too much. View was fantastic! One tip: allergy friendly pillow and mattress covers would be a plus. Mahalo

The bed was very comfortable which helped with sleep and adjusting to the time zone. This was a good place to call home base for a week.

When looking at this rental I noticed that there weren't many reviews. We were hopeful nonetheless. We had to do some cleaning right away. The kitchen counter was very coated and sticky. It is an old building so there was a smell. The location is great. It's just a short walk to town. The air conditioner worked well. The kitchen window slats were broken and you can't close them. It will be noisy at night from the birds but you're in Hawaii so that's ok. They only leave you one roll of toilet paper so stock up. The refrigerator was very old but it kept things cool. Lots of fees which seemed excessive. We would not stay here again.

We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the convenient location and that the air conditioning performed well. Being within walking distance to town is definitely one of the highlights of this property. We sincerely apologize for the condition of the kitchen counter upon your arrival. That is not the standard we aim to provide, and we’ve addressed this directly with our cleaning team to ensure it does not happen again. We also appreciate you pointing out the window slats—our maintenance team has been notified so this can be properly repaired. Regarding the building, it is part of an older complex, which can occasionally come with some of the natural characteristics you mentioned, including ambient sounds and light wear. As for supplies, we provide a starter set of essentials (including toilet paper) to get guests settled, which is standard practice for vacation rentals, but we understand how clearer communication on this can be helpful. In terms of fees, these are outlined prior to booking and reflect cleaning, taxes, and platform-related charges rather than anything hidden or added afterward. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve, and we’re sorry we did not meet your expectations on this stay.

Love Kona Manaions

This is our second stay at Kona Mansions. Property managers checked on our stay and were very attentive to our comfort. The only thing that is difficult is that this property has no elevator to upper floors so if you have mobility issues that can be very challenging. Will stay again.

Our Stay at Kona Mansions

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kona Mansions is a great location, close to the main shops, the trolley stop, and a short walk to two small beaches. Our condo unit was on the top floor with a view of the ocean and sunsets.The unit was small but clean. The bed was very comfortable. Beach towels, chairs and a cooler were provided by the owner, however we had to ask about these items in advance as neither the VRBO site nor Knutson's information package had this information. Further, there is no dishwasher, the couch was dirty and uncomfortable, and we had to hunt for the instructions for the combo washer/dryer.We would have liked to swim in the pool at Kona Mansions but the water was dirty and not inviting. The same for the BBQs: dirty and not usable.Our experience with Knutson & Associates staff was great, and we will be renting a different property from them next year.

Aloha, we are very sorry some things did not meet your expectations. We entirely hope that the complex will address the pool and BBQ cleaning that they normally are very on top of. We have informed housekeeping of the uncleanly couch and will keep eyes out to make sure that does not happen in the future.
