very disappointed
When we first got there, there was dirt on the floor and master bed. We contacted the host and he sent someone over to clean this.
A pest control guy came and wanted to know if we wanted the unit sprayed and he asked if the dirt had wings, he wanted to know if they were termites.
We did not want the unit sprayed since we have 3 small dogs.
We then left and when we came back we noticed the black dirt stuff was back on the floor and the master bed again.
We then moved everything to the spare bed because there was some kind of a bug or bug feces issue in the master bed.
When we put everything in the spare bedroom, we opened the closet there was mold,you can see it and smell it, this place is a health hazard and should not be rented out.
We contacted the host and he said he was going to try and find us somewhere to move to the next day and that he would contact us in the morning.
We called and left a message for him the next day and never heard back so we left. I was not going to stay in a place with bug feces (turns out that is termite feces and mold) and put my family and I at risk.
We told the host that we would pay for the first night because we did stay there but we would be leaving and we wanted a refund for the other two nights.
Needless to say, we have never heard from the host, no refund and no help from VRBO, which I find even more disturbing. I guess VRBO condons this.
We rent from VRBO quite a bit and have NEVER had anything like this happen.
