Both Lake and River frontage! Great fishing!

What a great place for the avid angler or the family looking for a quiet get away. This fully restored cottage has a large, private yard perfect for relaxing and features 200+ ft of frontage on Flowage lake, which is famous for it's pike and bass fishing. Also included is frontage on the West Branch of the Rifle River for some of the best trout fishing in the state. A canoe and 3 kayaks are available for guest's use at no charge. When not enjoying the lake and river, you can entertain yourself with the pool table, Foosball table or other games included in the walk out basement. Other amenities include a lake side deck, a river side patio with outdoor fireplace, BBQ grill, washer and dryer, 3 televisions, and central air conditioning. The town of West Branch features great shopping including a Walmart and a Meijers store, a Dunhams Sporting goods store, and a ridiculous number of terrific restaurants, many of whom will deliver right to your door.

Great Setting

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and thoughtfully appointed. Great fishing on the lake, caught several 37 inch pike! Close to town, but very quiet and secluded.

Awesome Cabin/Location

We were in West Branch for a baseball tournament and the house was perfect for our family and was only a mile or so from the ball fields. We'll be looking to reserve this one again next year.

Fish Camp was Great!!

We really enjoyed this place! Very clean, looked freshly painted , nice furniture, AC was much appreciated! The host thought of many details and supplies which made it very comfortable ! Kitchen was very well stocked. We loved the fishing -caught a big 20” pike right off the front grassy area! Kayaks were great, very close to golf courses. We would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing

Very happy with the decision of booking this property. Very well taken care of and so relaxing with the dam water flowing. Was able to have fire and just sit in peacefulness. Will definitely be back. My family loved it.

Great place to stay

Everything about this property was perfect. The house was clean, modern, very well kept, etc... My family and I enjoyed every moment. From the pool table downstairs to the all-inclusive kitchen, to the fishing, to the comfortable sleeping, and so on. Well done to the owners!! I recommend this property to anyone looking for the perfect place to enjoy family and friends in an extremely comfortable enviroment.

Awesome place!

This is a great place to stay. It is beautiful and very clean! Having the lake and the river was awesome. We caught a lot of fish. We enjoyed our stay here and plan on coming back! Al was great and responded very quickly to questions. Definitely recommend if you want a peaceful place to stay with beauty surrounding you and fishing! Can't say enough great things about this place. Also we loved all the fishing decor!

Excellent property and amenities

The property is loaded with literally everything you will need (inside and out) for a relaxing family weekend or a fishing trip with friends. Kayaks, life jackets and many other amenities included outside, while the indoor had everything and more. The boys loved the pool table in the basement and the beds and other furniture were very comfortable. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Cool House

Fish Camps was cool. The view of the lake was awesome especially at night. The house was exactly as advertised. It was well stocked and had plenty of towels, blankets, etc. It was comfy and the basement had all kinds of fun stuff going on. We would come back for sure!

More than Fish Camp

This house is amazing, especially for someone who likes to fish. It’s uniquely positioned, adjacent to the Rifle River and Flowage Lake. Lots of options for outdoorsy people including enough yard space to play games. The house was extremely clean and well taken care of. The beds are foam and are really comfortable. The house is stocked with everything you could ever need. You can really tell the owner takes great pride in this property and it was clear that he wanted his guests to feel at home with all of the amenities. We will definitely be back.

Low key waterfront getaway

This was our first time using vrbo. Easy check-in/check-out. Clean and had everthing you need. Quiet location with walk in lake access for canoes, kayaks, etc close to the deck. We brought paddleboards and the water was perfect. We are fishing rookies but were able to catch a few bass in the lake. There were trout jumping out of the river other side of the house! Didn't catch one , but pretty obviously due to lack of skill. Lots of family quality time at night playing pool and board games. Wonderful vacation to wrap up summer. Highly recommend.

Echoes of past friends-and-family gatherings resonate in this updated yet still rustic cottage on the edge of a lovely lake and flowing river. It's easy to understand why generations of the owner's family have enjoyed this fish camp site. Do not expect five-star hotel accommodations here--rather a place that shows that many have been here before. There is no dishwasher, so expect to handwash everything you use before and after. The cooler weather did not allow us to get out on the lake, but we loved the view every day--instead we enjoyed the warmth of the outdoor fireplace and the comfy indoor furniture and game room for places to relax and have some fun. Allen was very responsive to my messages and seems to take care of issues that may occur. I hope to stay here again during future visits to my home town.

I suggested renaming it Mirror Lake on this perfect day.

Can't think of a better spit for a Michigan lake side getaway

Fish camp has a wonderful spot on a smaller ( private feel) all sports lake. Rare to be able to combine those two settings. Also located next to the lakes dam, the gentle water fall sound adds to the relaxing experance of sitting by the lake and enjoying the lakeside view. The cottage is well stocked for all your daily needs and kept up well. Though we did not get to use it being that we were outdoors focused, the lower level has a wonderful game space with bar, pool table, foosball and more.

My family and I have been enjoying our many summer vacations in the West Branch area our entire lives. It's a beautiful part of the state and we enjoy all of the outdoor activities the area has to offer.

We purchased this home years ago and have since bought a larger home north of town. We still use "Fish Camp" for our own personal use, but we would like to share it with others so they may also enjoy the many happy times we have had there.

This property has a very rare and unique location. Being the old Dam-keepers home, it features water frontage and access to both the lake and the river, offering the best of fishing and recreation on both. Since Flowage Lk. is a smaller lake, it is much more calm and relaxed than some of the more well known lakes in the area. Even busy holiday weekends are quiet and relaxing. Spread out in the large, private yard, Take the canoe or kayak out for a fishing adventure, or just enjoy the unlimited lake views from your front deck. If it gets chilly, cuddle up next to the outdoor fireplace on the back patio. If it rains, head inside for a game of pool or Foosball, or kick back and enjoy one of the 3 big screen tvs. Brand-new Central air and full laundry facilities are the cherry on top of this perfect family vacation spot.
