Both Lake and River frontage! Great fishing!

What a great place for the avid angler or the family looking for a quiet get away. This fully restored cottage has a large, private yard perfect for relaxing and features 200+ ft of frontage on Flowage lake, which is famous for it's pike and bass fishing. Also included is frontage on the West Branch of the Rifle River for some of the best trout fishing in the state. A canoe and 3 kayaks are available for guest's use at no charge. When not enjoying the lake and river, you can entertain yourself with the pool table, Foosball table or other games included in the walk out basement. Other amenities include a lake side deck, a river side patio with outdoor fireplace, BBQ grill, washer and dryer, 3 televisions, and central air conditioning. The town of West Branch features great shopping including a Walmart and a Meijers store, a Dunhams Sporting goods store, and a ridiculous number of terrific restaurants, many of whom will deliver right to your door.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Caught a lot of fish, had some amazing day trips, and had so much space for our family and dog. The shower on the main floor should have its own highlights on the listing, trust me when I say it's lovely!I would highly recommend staying here for the lovely cabin, but also the ability to go out the front to fish, kayak, paddleboard, swim or the back to catch an array of fish in the dam.

The house was very conveniently located to downtown West Branch, and even nicer than the listing would lead you to believe. The house was beautiful and clean, and we enjoyed the kayaks and canoe. The lake also holds some very large fish. The owner left a list of recommended restaurants and attractions close by which was much appreciated.

The property was clean, well maintained and as advertised. The area is quiet with little traffic and the town of West Branch is very quaint! We enjoyed the kayaks and canoe very much! Fishing was slow at first but we switched the bait up and caught carp, perch, rock bass and blue gill, sadly no trout :( but it was still fun. The owner was quick to respond to questions before and during our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again!

Over all had good time very relaxing, House is very nice and nice game room in basement. The terrain along bank for fishing is uneven and rocky. If you have a bad back like mine make sure you have back brace. A lot of geegse visit this property watch where you step, I would suggest a little peer be installed for fishing and launching of canoe. Enjoy

Hello Ray, Sorry about the shoreline (and the geese). Since that part of the river is designated as "natural" owners can not make ANY improvements or changes to the shoreline. It's great for fishing, but can be tough for walking. There are several hundred feet of shoreline along the lake that is pretty flat and easy to access.

Great place to fish and relax. The host was very responsive and even shared fishing secrets and spots with us. He was super nice and checked in with us. We go on lots of fishing trips and this has become one of my favorite ones. We booked again for next year already. Lots of big fish in the spillway lost so many because we didn’t have leaders on. There is a cool sporting store about 15 mins away called Deans. They have live bait, shiners, minnows and fat worms owners are super nice. They have wood and tackle too. They have kayaks and a canoe with the property we did not use them this time but plan to hopefully next time. It was also very nice to be able to bring our fur baby he loves to fish too. The house was very spacious and plenty of room for two couples. It has a rec room in the basement and we had fun hanging out there too. The upstairs bedroom is very spacious with a king bed and tv in the room. If you want your own space for a bit it’s perfect. It was vey peaceful even though it is in a neighborhood. Easy rules to follow and we absolutely loved this place. We cannot wait to come back. Thank you Allen for being a great host and for sharing your beautiful peace of Heaven with others.

It's quite a charming and unique cottage. We enjoyed all of the fishing bling. We were a bit early for fishing, but managed to lose a few lures below the dam. A nice weekend getaway to a comfy cottage. We'll book again. Thanks.

We had a great time. All essentials were provided with the rental. Close enough to town to pop up there easily. Beds were comfortable!

My family and I have been enjoying our many summer vacations in the West Branch area our entire lives. It's a beautiful part of the state and we enjoy all of the outdoor activities the area has to offer.

We purchased this home years ago and have since bought a larger home north of town. We still use "Fish Camp" for our own personal use, but we would like to share it with others so they may also enjoy the many happy times we have had there.

この宿泊施設の特徴

This property has a very rare and unique location. Being the old Dam-keepers home, it features water frontage and access to both the lake and the river, offering the best of fishing and recreation on both. Since Flowage Lk. is a smaller lake, it is much more calm and relaxed than some of the more well known lakes in the area. Even busy holiday weekends are quiet and relaxing. Spread out in the large, private yard, Take the canoe or kayak out for a fishing adventure, or just enjoy the unlimited lake views from your front deck. If it gets chilly, cuddle up next to the outdoor fireplace on the back patio. If it rains, head inside for a game of pool or Foosball, or kick back and enjoy one of the 3 big screen tvs. Brand-new Central air and full laundry facilities are the cherry on top of this perfect family vacation spot.
