Allagash Summer House, Walk to Kelly Beach

This spacious house is a short walk/bike ride to private Kelly Beach as well as restaurants and shopping, and is just minutes from four large state beaches and the Narrow River. It has four bedrooms, and three and a half bathrooms. Two bedrooms have queen beds, and the other two have full beds. For a group over 8, an additional sleeping option includes a queen air mattress with sheets and towels for a small fee per additional person. The home has a modern kitchen, and an outdoor shower. Its open floorplan allows for lots of light and comfortable family time. The kitchen opens onto a deck and patio with comfortable seating and a bbq grill.

The house worked out perfectly for our stay with plenty of space for everyone and a comfortable living room.A few issues came up regarding cleanliness. The dishes in dishwasher were dirty and grill blazed up when being turned on from previous grease. There also was no cutting board. Otherwise the kitchen was easy to cook in and had other utensils needed.

This was a really good, clean, roomy and tidy place to stay. The outdoor shower and tile floors made it easy to clean up after beach trips. The location makes it very easy to get to Newport and all the South County attractions.

Great location! We were able to make breakfast and coffee in the morning and sandwiches to bring to the beach (could have used a cutting board or a sheet pan, but could not find one in the kitchen). We used our own umbrellas and beach chairs. Overall, we had a comfortable stay.

Allagash Summer House is surprisingly bigger than it looks. This is a three floor house with lots of stairs. The second floor is the main level with open kitchen, dinning & living perfect for gathering together. The small deck has additional seating but also a long staircase to get to the grill. No actual play area for kids, just a wide strip of grass between the two houses. The main level has the smallest of 4 bedrooms but right across the hall is a huge bathroom with laundry. The third floor has two large bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms very nice. The basement bedroom and half bathroom offers additional space for an air-mattress and our (4) kids played games on the floor all though we wishes it had a TV for gaming and movies they enjoyed their own space all together. The basement gets very warm a fan is definitely needed because the ceiling fan is connected to a light. Our family of ten enjoyed our stay very much the house was clean when we arrived the beds make noise but were well made and comfortable and that is very hard to find. Elizabeth is very easy to get in touch with, she also provides soaps, shampoos & conditioners which is above & beyond expectation. The location is great but I would not say this is walking distance to Kelly beach with children or elderly. Thank you Elizabeth for sharing your home with us we had a great vacation. Great comfortable house big enough for my whole family and easy walk to the beach. The property manager was very responsive and ensured we had a great visit!

Great house for beach

House is in a great location - 12-15 minute walk to Kelly Beach, short walk to Brickley's Ice Cream, easy drives to Wickford, Narragansett and Newport. House was comfortably furnished for our small family including elementary school age child and dog. We enjoyed the house and will definitely consider it for future visits.

Needed extra beds at Bonnet Shores

We needed extra beds for a family gathering at Bonnet Shores. This fit the bill for us. We had 6 adults (3 couples) and two infants. The property has 4 very large bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. The property was air conditioned thoughout, although the basement bedroom needs a vented portable air conditioner in hot weather. There is also a second floor deck, which we used; and a ground level patio, which we did not use. There was adequate parking for 3 cars, with is needed family groups. The kitchen was well equipped. The microwave door needed some attention, was operable. One criticism of the listing is that the "short walk to the beach" is really not true. The beach is 0.9 miles away. But there is beach access by car using a drop-off point. But cars can't park there. All in all, it lived up to our exceptions and hopes. Great for larger groups.
