Cozy Home in Peaceful Location-Short Drive to Beaches & Bay

Tucked away on a Quiet country Lane between the Beaches and Bay. Easy Access to everything but Private enough to enjoy peace & quiet. This is the perfect house to Rest, Restore and Rejuvenate. Great for those who love to cook, with fully stocked kitchen, Pots, pans, dishware some condiments and seasonings. Outdoor Grill, Hammock & Fire Pit. Our Favorite room is the Sunroom great place to read, chat or take a nap.
Cable TV in main living room, but please note there's no WiFi if that is a must for you.
Chincoteague Island & Wallops Island are just 20 minutes away. 7 minutes West and you can enjoy Beautiful Bay Sunsets! Or enjoy antiquing up and down Rt 13. Nearby town of Saxis is great for Crabbing or Fishing. A short drive to Onancock offers shopping, restaurants, a theater, and Farmer's Mkt.

Beautiful home and wonderful hosts

We needed to find a home to rent that was central to the Eastern Shore, and this location was very convenient. Communication with our host was outstanding, and they even accommodated a special request with no problem. They went out of their way to be helpful. The home is very clean and absolutely beautiful, and the hosts left some hospitality touches that we found very welcoming. If you are looking for a place on the Eastern Shore, this place is a gem.

Hidden Gem in Rural Virginia!

This was a hidden gem! The home was absolutely beautiful. We loved the layout and the contemporary farmhouse vibe. All of the rooms had its own theme but the kids loved it. Communication with the owner was very easy. She left us wonderful pamphlets and brochures about local eateries and things to do in nearby Chincoteague. The sunroom is where we spent most of our time..this open and spacious area quickly became our favorite. The rooster crows at dawn and a few times throughout the day…it took me back to my childhood in rural Virginia. I would absolutely recommend this property if you are looking for a way to unplug and just relax. Thank you to our host!

Fox Cottage Haven

We would not hesitate to recommend this vrbo! The rural location is ideal for a restful and relaxing stay. The rooster next door crows oddly only in the afternoon not at dawn. The home is spacious, clean and cozy. The kitchen is one of the few where we have stayed that has all the amenities to prepare a light meal and breakfast. We entertained ourselves by playing Scrabble provided. There were jigsaw puzzles too, but the sunny days lent themselves to being outside. The shower was refreshing and we slept well. Brochures were available for us to plan outings leading us to the best crab cakes my husband has ever enjoyed in Onancock. There is a lot to see and do in the area and the location of this home was in easy traveling distance to Crisfield, Chincoteague and Onancock. The hosts were very hospitable. We look forward to staying here again.
