The Dallas

I will start by saying the front porch could use a little refresh and cleaning. That's the reason for a 4 on cleanliness. Inside was awesome so don't let the porch issue stop you. Inside is clean and neat. All the comforts of home. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've slept in. Great attention to detail and we loved our stay. Be mindful of the road outside of the unit as it's one way around a curve and people tend to fly around the corner.

We're full-time Hood River locals with a soft spot for The Dalles — a sunny, historic gem on the eastern edge of the Columbia River Gorge. It’s rich in culture, outdoor access, and charm, but often overlooked by travelers. We love sharing it.

We bought this hilltop duplex in 2020 and spent a year renovating the upstairs apartment to blend its vintage character with modern comfort. With big views, big sun, and easy access to everything in the Gorge, it’s become one of our favorite places to be — and we’re excited to share it with you.
