This immaculate house on 2 acres of riverfront property comfortably sleeps 18 and is located next to a state-protected bird sanctuary with a private sandy beach! Enjoy sunsets by the firepit, walks through the woods, and entertainment in the rustic barn with a half-pipe, ping pong table, and stage. Only 28 min to Perfect North Slopes, 12 min to downtown, and 10 min to CVG airport. Get away from it all while being just minutes from downtown Cincinnati!

The kitchen only had five spoons. In fact, the kitchen was so ill equipped. We thought maybe this home was only rented out to people who will eat out all the time. This family cooks so that was a little bit of a challenge. Also, the step on the outside of the deck was too wobbly rocks. My husband is 80 I’m almost 80 and it wasn’t exactly a safe situation to be stepping up on a rock and then onto the deck to get into the front door. Other than that, the house is very clean, very comfortable and we had tons of space which we loved.

The home is updated and very roomy. Our family had plenty of room at eat breakfast in the same room. We have 10 kids they made great memories in the bunk room. My grandkids loved playing in the large bath tub. Since we know hot air rises and assumed the upstairs would be warmer than the downstairs we brought a box fan from home. Glad we did. Thank you for sharing your beautiful decorated home with our family.

Easy check in (and we were even able to get in a little earlier than the listed check in time!)I always bring cookware specific to what meals are planned but the kitchen was pretty well stock in that regard already. Was a great place for our big group with plenty of usable in and outdoor space.

It was the worst house I’ve been in with VRBO. The house was filthy and I spent first 5 hours cleaning it washing dirty sheets and wondering where the river front was.

Clean & great location.

Bachelorette party of 8 women from ages 21-54, stayed 3 days/2 nights. Property as pictured in the listing. The location was great, property is beautiful, quiet area & the house was very clean. Everything you need is provided. All linens, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, kitchen soap, K-cups, Keurig, dishes, bags of ice in the freezer, & toilet paper. I honestly can't think of anything that would have made it better. Grocery store, food, & dollar store close by. No issues getting an Uber to take us to the city. Comfortable and convenient

We enjoyed our stay at this house on the river! We saw the Ark and Creation museum and several restaurants in the area! Thanks for being a great spot to live for a few days!!!!

Great stay for large family

Our only complaint was that the shed/barn was quite dilapidated and not lit very well for when we played ping pong. Otherwise it was fantastic!! We had a great time!

Travel to the Ark

Overall everything was okay. The porch could have been a little cleaner. And the furniture around the fire pit was very sketchy at best. Inside was very clean. A few stackable chairs would have been nice. Also would have been nice to have a place to put our luggage in the bottom bedroom.

Family Trip

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at this property. The house was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. We had 6 adults and 5 children with us. The house was very accommodating. I only have 2 suggestions that would have made my rating a 5 instead of a 4. (Wish that there had been a 4.5 rating) I would suggest that the private beach was a little misleading. We did finally find the path down to it, but calling that a private beach was a little misleading. I would also recommend a way of washing your shoes off outside after you come back from “the beach “ Overall, we had a great time and would gladly reserve this property for our next visit to Cincinnati!

Guys annual football trip

I can’t speak enough about the location of this house. It’s close to the city yet you feel secluded. The nearby little town of Ludlow is very quaint with restaurants and shops. The owner was super easy to work with and the house was clean, up to date and had everything we needed for our group of 8. If you are looking for a place to stay away from it all but close to everything, this would be the place!

Ideal property for a relaxing trip for a large group. The place was very clean and provided plenty of space for outdoor activities. Donna is a great host as well!

Just as advertised

An amazing and very clean home on the Ohio River. The property comes as advertised on the listing. To get to the property requires some twists and turns (so be mindful if you have passengers who may feel a little nauseous due to motion sickness) but overall, the property is an A+. Amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels were included which was a major plus in hospitality. Book if you like watching sunsets on the river off the balcony or by the firepit.

Perfect Stay!

Everything was as sold and looked as good as the pictures and description! Donna was communicative and willing to accomodate us early as well! She also offered good suggestions on places to eat and things to do. Had a weekend plan with friends in Cincinnati and this was the perfect place within a 15 minute drive for it. Would absolutely reccommend for anyone travelling to the area.

Lovely riverside home

We had a great weekend here! The pictures don’t do it justice. Watching all the boats go by down the river was a real treat. Lots of outdoor space for activities. The house itself is a gem: clean, spacious and accommodating. The kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of room to socialize, both inside and on the huge wraparound porch. We loved being so close to Cincinnati, and don’t skip a visit to Ludlow! Overall, top notch property. Would love to stay here again!

Hi, I'm Donna. My husband and I moved from Chicago to Cincinnati in 2020 to be closer to our grandchildren. In Chicago, we raised ten kids in a stately 19th-century home. When the kids moved out, we hosted vacation rentals in our home. I loved it! I loved preparing for guests and attending to all the small details that make a stay enjoyable. I loved chatting with guests online before their trips. And I loved greeting guests as their vacations began. When we moved to Cincinnati I really missed being a host. Which is why I was thrilled when my daughter offered me the opportunity to host THIS vacation rental! It's such a beautiful place, and I know whoever books it will have a magical time.

The River House has it all: secluded next to a bird sanctuary on the banks of the Ohio River with access to a private sandy beach, you feel like you're a million miles from civilization. Yet hop in your car, and in under 15 minutes you can be at a Reds' game. Or a fabulous museum. Or at a traveling Broadway show. Or a 5-star restaurant. The house sleeps 18, so it is big enough to host family reunions or other large gatherings. And there's plenty of free parking.
