Wonderful Vacation in Hampton Bays

We enjoyed our stay very much!!! A very warm, roomy, and welcoming home. The place was very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Beds were very comfortable. House was in a lovely area. We were so happy that our children were able to stay with us. The kitchen was very well stocked with all equipment needed to cook. We were able to get 4 beautiful beach days! Less than a 10-minute drive to the beach. We loved sitting out on the deck in the afternoon after going to the beach. It was so nice that the owner Jackie stop by to check to see if we needed anything. Thank you.

A bit disappointed

Not very walkable area. VERY musty until you put on AC unit. Stairs up to deck only have railing on one side and VERY dark at the bottom at night. Master bath toilet was broken and had to walk through a bedroom to get to Master suite.

Wow!

My husband and I rented this house for July 4th weekend this year with another couple, 4 adults, no kids. Although, there is room for another couple and/or a few small children. This house can sleep up to 6 comfortably. A/Cs in every room - TG, we wouldn't have survived the 2010 heatwave without them. This is a lovely 2BR (potential for a 3BR railroad-style off the Master)/2BA house with a huge deck to entertain, BBQ or sun. The property is immaculate. Right off of Montauk Highway, perfect location to Hampton Bays beach, Nurel's Farmer's Market and about 10 mins east of the center of town with supermarket, Starbuck's, bagel shops and the RR. Jackie, is easy to work with and can be flexible with arrival/departure times if requested to be. The ONLY thing that I would pause to consider is that the nightclub on Montauk Highway re-opened the Saturday of July 4th weekend which we could hear from the house while we were outside on the deck like we were hosting our own club. It didn't bother us at all and wouldn't bother families with teenagers/young adults, I suspect; we do not have children and the A/C units in each room drown out the sound when you are inside.

Hampton Bays

The pictures on the website did not do justice to the apartment. It was even better than the pics showed. Very comfortable, spacious and all the accoutrements we needed, even the pool table which we used regularly. It is slightly off the beaten track, but with a car it did not really matter. I highly recommend this apartment. PS. (need to change the wifi address on fridge door)

Loved our stay!

We had a great time in Hampton Bays staying at Jackie and Al’s place. It was clean, very spacious and perfect for us to bring our dog to! The location was fabulous—very close to everything: beaches, shops and restaurants and even the marina and canal. Jackie was in regular communication, making things super easy. We’d stay again in their lovely home for sure!

Comfortable, spacious, well-located home

Jackie & Al's home was conveniently located near bay and ocean beaches and a number of attractive towns. A bit outdated, but spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. Jackie responded thoroughly to all of our questions and concerns. Well-suited for a toddler, too, as no interior stairs.

Great getaway

We traveled 1100 miles to spend time with only grandkids. We were hoping to have a clean place to enjoy them. We got a warm home, access to a beautiful beach with a free pass, good restaurants in the immediate area, and a canal with boats coming and going all day a block away. Owners were available to help on call. I hope we get to come back.

Wonderful location

The location was perfect, ,very close to everything. Loved that for cooking simple things like some herbs and spices were already in the house, even washing detergent. Jackie is a really lovely person. Thanks for making it a great stay.

Relaxing Beach vacation

A verynice holiday home located in a quiet neighborhood, about 10 min. drive to the sandy ocean beach. Very spacious house for the 4 of us, but certainly suitable for 6. We enjoyed our evening dinners on the deck with the barbecue as well as good restaurants even within walking distance (Cowfish). All shoppimg can be easily done at the nearby supermarket (about a 3 min. drive). All in all a very enjoyable week for the kids and us.

Nice house to enjoy a family vacation

The neighborhood is quit, the surroundings are nice and full of nature, We went to share one week with our daughter and grand daughter (3 years old). The house is completely well prepared to receive guest. You have all you can need. It is well equipped, clean and comfortable. Furthermore, if you have any difficult, there are Jackie and Al to help you and solve the situation. I can say it. In our case, one day the TV cable box did not work properly so we could not watch tv in the living room. Therefore, I called Jackie to tell the about the situation. Then, in the same day, Al came with a new one, put in place and everything run fine. They are nice people, willing to help in the way required to facilitate your vacation, The beaches (in the bay or oceanic) are beautiful. Both located just a few minutes from the house. Very few traffic during the ride, go and back calm with zero stress. Fantastic. Very good restaurants close to the house. All you need at hand. A good supermarket ensures you will find all you need to enjoy the barbecue on the deck. Nice evenings and nights. Thanks to Jackie and Al for your attention. Surely, we will keep in mind this house to enjoy our next vacations.

Hampton Bays is great even in the winter

Great stay even without the beaches and summer. Stayed in January and everything was perfect. We were even able to bar b que on the deck with the few days of warm weather. Walked to the canal and bay beaches which are great in the winter. No crowds. The house had everything we could need and was exceptionally clean. Any questions we had, Al and Jackie were always available to answer. Would definitely come back to enjoy what summer has to offer.

We raised our children fishing off the docks, hosting fresh catch BBQs on our deck, and swimming at the quiet beaches nearby. With Hampton Bays continuing to get better with the newly restored Canoe Place just down the block (now with a new bar and spa!) and delicious restaurants nearby, we look forward to sharing the quiet and magical Hampton Bays with you!

We have been coming to Hampton Bays since the 1970's and always enjoyed the beaches, fishing and nightlife. We are surrounded by quaint towns for shopping and dining, museums and galleries on the South Fork. It's just a 35 mile drive to the famous Montauk Point lighthouse, which is one of the best fishing towns and great for a day trip. A 10 mile drive brings you to the North Fork where you can find some of New York's finest wineries, farm stands, the Splish Splash waterpark, Atlantis aquarium, and Tanger Outlet Mall. The Orient Point ferry is a 45 minute drive and brings you to the two Connecticut casinos.
