Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great house and amenities. The table tennis and air hockey were a big hit with our family. The dock was so great to have. We swam in the river and took the air tubes out. The kitchen was great; we made dinner every night. We had some trouble with the AC when we first arrived, but Vaca helped reimburse us for a fan. The location is great. We mostly heading over to Florence and up the coast. The Sweet Creek Falls trail is a must see as well.

Details are important, they can make or break your stay

It's really a shame that many simple problems weren't taken care of prior to our stay. First of all, a ping pong table is advertised on this listing. But what good is a ping pong table with a broken net and no ping pong balls? Actually there was one ping pong ball: a broken one, under the sofa. Talk about adding insult to injury. Same with the cornhole set. What's the point of providing a cornhole set if you don't provide bags? The ping pong table was a big let down because it was one of the main draws of the house for us. It looks like the host didn't even both to check the property. The garbage in front of the property was overflowing and stank, and judging from the among of cobwebs on the trash bins, had not been taken out in forever. On top of that, when we arrived at the property, we couldn't find a single cup, glass, plate or kitchen utensil. Until we figured out EVERY SINGLE UTENSIL had been stuck in the dishwasher for the guest to take out and put away. Thanks so much. Apparently the dishwasher had ran quite a while back too, judging from the water stuck in the glasses. Maybe it's a common Vacasa practice, to let the guest put away all the utensils to use? We don't even know where things are supposed to go! I think at that point, since the listing provides false advertisement (amenities that are NOT usable), a partial refund is warranted. This is careless and I don't appreciate carelessness. Needless to say, we had no desire to "try out" the kayaks given how little care had been shown to the other amenities. We didn't want to head out on the river and realize there were holes in the boats or something. We simply couldn't trust that the host had made sure that everything was in working order, since well, they weren't.

Wonderful place to disconnect

I absolutely loved this home. Private access to the siuslaw, kayaks, ping pong, Foosball.... I mean, wow! Also, the water was just fine! We will absolutely rent this place again!

Great family getaway!

We loved this home on the river. There are so many toys/activities just at the home that one could stay here and never leave the property. However, we did visit many attractions nearby--from old town Florence to the beach and sand dunes, the casino and a hike at Sweet Creek. There was fishing and clamming and kayaking and floating. Coffee/drinks on the deck, air hockey and a nap in the hammock was a favorite of the young adults. The road noise is a thing, but it was clearly noted in the property description and once you get your attention to the river, it's not that bad. Highly recommend, grazie mille!

Great house and beautiful space

The house was really perfect for teens. We played on the game room and on the dock for house. Everything was amazing. The only thing to consider is this is right on the road and car traffic is pretty loud. I slept fine at night but woke up early every morning when the traffic started. I would still have stayed here...I just think it's worth mentioning for really light sleepers. They provide a sound machine. Otherwise this is an amazing property and a ton of fun.

Amazing location!

This is an amazing location! Peaceful, comfortable, and close enough to all the coast has to offer. Beds were very comfortable, great amenities, and kayaks were a bonus. If you’re used to Oregon weather, the lack of air conditioning isn’t really an issue (just close the blinds during the day to keep out the sun, and open the windows in the evening to cool it down). The house water is not pleasant- knew this going in and brought drinking water. It really should not stop you from staying here. We will be back!

nice little getaway

definitely a nice little getaway, small town and for those who are a little more lowkey. i love nature and i’m okay with just sitting in front of the water watching the view listening to the birds chirping. the house is right off the main road which was a little odd but it had nice quiet moments with no traffic. definitely a place i would go to with cooler weather as they have no ac and only have three fans, unless you bring your own. highest temperature was in the high 80s and the house at times was just as warm. was nicer when it was early and later where the temperatures dropped. great views, loved having our own private doc, great views from the porch. great spot to just relax and kind of do nothing. if you’re into the dunes it’s a great place to visit other than that not much else to do

An American Bald Eagle was our neighbor!

What a beautiful spot! Right on the water. We observed ducks, otters and a number of birds as well as numerous visits from an American Bald Eagle. As mentioned in listing there is some highway noise but we were fine. The view is great. The PM was good with communication and helpful as needed. The location was nice as we travelled from Eugene and then along the coast of Oregon. The house was very well kept. No (few) overhead lights but there are lamps. Great place! Thanks! We would stay here again.

Short Peaceful Stay

My son and I recently stayed at the Siuslaw River House while picking him up from the University of Oregon. The house is in a convenient location between Eugene and Florence and has the advantage of not being in the middle of either. Despite being "right off the road", the house's outwardly facing aspect is upon and across the river to the mountains and trees beyond. Through almost every window you see the river flowing in different colors, as the tide ebbs and flows, flora and fauna all around playing their peaceful music as the waters calm swiftly draws you in. The house is well appointed and comfortable with extra amenities for all (ample reading spots, soaking tub, kayaks, crab pots, ping pong, air hockey, etc...). Would return and/or recommend highly.

My family had a great time at your home. It’s a gorgeous space and very comfortable. We felt right at home with all the little amenities and attention to detail. The labels were really fun and helpful. The kids and grownups had a blast in the game room and the grill was perfect to make a yummy dinner at the house. Thank you so much.

Our big hang up with the property is how the water smells and the lighting in the kitchen needs to be brighter. Other than that we did enjoy our time.

River retreat of my dreams.

This place is just peace embodied. The water and the trees really draw you in and settle all the travel anxiety. I spent as much time on the dock, reading, eating, sunbathing and listening to the birds. It was difficult to leave but I left feeling so much better. I can’t wait to go back!
