Review of recent VRBO Stay | Prominence/Florida
Upon our arrival on Saturday, Aug 3 2024 @ 3:08 PM, we encountered a member of the management team (or the landlord/owner) still on the property, leaving with a trash bag in hand, tossing it in the bin that was left in the driveway. There was a "Panhandle Getaway" welcome mat along with a "Hello" mat left at the front door, but the listing doesn’t mention whether the property is managed by Panhandle Getaway, this is unclear as to if it’s owner managed or property managed.
Unfortunately, the rental unit was not in a satisfactory condition. The floors were dirty, with visible dirt and hair. The bed and couch pillows had hairs on them, the bathroom drawers were filled with clumps of hair and dust, and the bathroom floors also had hairs and dirt. The beach chairs were filled with sand, and nothing had been washed off. In the secondary bedroom, we placed linens on top of the twin beds and slept on them that way. The twin beds also lacked bottom shams, leaving dirty box springs exposed.
We were granted a check-in one hour earlier at 3:00 PM; however, this does not excuse the condition of the house not being properly cleaned before another family’s stay. The condition of the house was not as expected, especially given the Prominence location and cost. However, despite this, we always stay in this area and enjoy our experiences there.
