Wow' is all one can say when stepping into this open-plan beachfront townhome in the popular 300 Ocean Mile community and seeing the endless views of the shimmering sea and sandy beach. It's as if the sea and sand are another room in the house! Smack on the beach and a matter of feet from the sparkling Gulf - the location just doesn't get any better than this! The unobstructed views of sand and sea can be taken in from the decks, living areas, and bedrooms, and feeling the sand in your toes requires just going down a few steps from the deck.

The home has been recently renovated & offers plenty of privacy for families or friends, with bedrooms on separate levels. Located in the Island's popular East End neighborhood, Ocean Mile F-1 is close to local shops, restaurants, nightlife, the multi-use path connecting the entire Island, St. George State Park, and the Lighthouse Museum. Guests can enjoy two large community swimming pools with sun decks, lounge chairs, and umbrellas. Multiple boardwalks provide easy access to the beach. The East End neighborhood is a favorite Island vacation destination with close proximity to the State Park, easy access to the bicycle path, and low-density development that gives it a peaceful vibe.

Open the digital lock and go up the stairs to the comfortable open plan living/dining/kitchen area, a half bath, and the beachfront deck. The comfortable retro decor features hardwood and tile floors throughout. Stretch out to watch TV or listen to the stereo from the comfortable couches, one of which folds out into a queen sleeper. Whip up some margaritas and nachos in the well-equipped kitchen and never lose sight of that sparkling sea. Up a short set of steps, there is a full bath and a spacious bedroom with vaulted ceilings, a bed, and a small private deck. Up another short set of stairs, there is a landing with the laundry room with a stacked washer/dryer, and a lofty, airy main bedroom with a spacious bed and a private balcony with astounding views of the Gulf and shoreline. Beach gear credit is included with this home - book a stay and get your choice of kayaks, paddleboards, beach chairs, and more! The fireplace is unavailable.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Wonderful Week

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was only steps from the beach and we could walk out anytime. It was quiet and not over populated with people. Loved the local shops and food establishments, no chain restaurants (we loved this). The home had everything we needed for a wonderful stay!

Nice Stay

The property served its purpose for our short staycation. Beautiful water view. However, instructions on how to use the TV’s could be provided. We never got them to Work properly.

Always pros and cons

Loved that this house was right on the beach and such a private environment. Found it difficult to find an email, text number, or phone number that actually worked when I needed it. Having a laminated sheet of relevant info on the fridge would be helpful. The home was inviting but updates would make it even better. This 3 star review is contingent on getting my security deposit back. The home had several issues when we walked in, such as one of the refrigerator doors was missing, several blinds broken, the glass on the coffee table was broken as well as much of the quicker of the table, and some loose outlets were a concern. These concerns were not addresses during our stay. Other minor concerns that are more esthetic.

Needs Updating

We love this area of SGI. The location is perfect and the beach is beautiful. However, this house desperately needs basic updating. The electrical outlets don't hold plugs. They were literally falling out of the wall. The floors need to be replaced because it's splintering and coming up. In fact, the repairmen came and said, "Just pull up the splintering pieces." The Wifi is basically non-existent. It made it very hard to work while we were there. We ended up sitting on the porch and using a hotspot. The cabinets have been exposed to moisture, and the particle board is expanding. The need to keep some kind of airflow going inside. When we arrived, the air was off, and it was so musty. There are other units in this same development getting updated. I would look for those.

Gorgeous beachfront views!

The views from this beachfront condo are just fabulous, from both the lower and upper level balconies! We loved being in an end unit for easy beach access (quicker than taking the walkways around), and the carport allowed us to safely store our personal kayak and paddleboard. The beach doesn't get super crowded on this end of the island, and the beach gear rentals we used allowed us to travel with less stuff. The pool area was fantastic and clean during our stay. The unit itself hasn't been as well maintained as others we have stayed in, however. The coffee table had cracked glass, the refrigerator was missing a handle, and the outdoor furniture was not as shown in the property photos. Since we spend most of our time at a rental on the balcony, this is an important thing for us (I will sometimes choose one property over another based solely on how the outdoor space is appointed). The bedrooms lack ceiling fans, which I think all bedrooms in the South should have. Between the lack of ceiling fan and the not-too-comfy upstairs mattress, my sleep wasn't great. While we don't spend a lot of time indoors, except to sleep and sometimes eat, a little bit more maintenance to the unit would go a long way. We love the Ocean Mile community, but we will likely select a different unit in the future.

Lots to like just realize

Unit F-1’s beachfront setting is fantastic! Proximity to the park is a bonus. Renters should expect an older condo that would be much more attractive/functional with some updates. The mgmt company was responsive by text. Oddly only 2 blankets were provided and were not available even when requested.

Veterans Day - St. George

The location was not very clean. However, the cleaning team offered to correct the issues during our stay. The location also had issues/items in need of addressing - torn blind, refrigerator missing door handle, rust on stove, stained kitchen sinks, living room furniture in need of cleaning, scaling on bathroom faucets, patches of paint off walls. Bathrooms were clean and enjoyed using the new high top table and chairs on the porch. The beach view was terrific.

Great Location!

We really enjoyed staying in Ocean Mile F-1. This house is on the end of the the condos and has great beach front access. There is a large walk in closet with the master bedroom. You could fit a blow up mattress for child in this area if needed. We will rent again, but only if the management company changes to one of the local companies on the island.
