We stayed for 8 nights. Due to flight delays, we arrived very late but the instructions got us there quickly and painlessly and our unit was open and waiting for us. We awoke to the stunning cliff top ocean view and friendly iguanas. The residents and other guests were friendly, the staff as well. All gather daily at sunset to socialize and celebrate another beautiful day. We spent very little time in our room, but we did snorkel off the walls a few times as well as a little pool time. There’s just so much to do on the island, we barely scratched the surface. Adored being in Westpunt, lots to do right around there and not too bad of a drive to the other side of things. We loved the bakery of Centrum and ate most of our meals in with sandwiches packed for our daily activities in the provided cooler. All the necessities to get us started were provided, cookware and spices, even charcoal and lighter fluid for the grill. Note there is no true oven which we realized after stupidly overpaying for some American frozen pizzas. There is a toaster oven, stovetop, and microwave. Dipping tanks to disinfect and rinse your snorkel/dive equipment are available by the pool. We saw huge schools of fish, a big green moray eel, and amazing coral in our snorkels off the wall, don’t miss the big patch of brownish anemones between the two stairways. We felt extremely safe everywhere on the island including here. Property is gated, probably more to keep out goats than people, haha! We kept the windows open during the day and a/c’s on at night. We were party of three and just enough space for us. Hot water in the showers and kitchen was fine. We used the community washer (just one) once using a $3 token from the office and hung our clothes to dry on the balcony lines. No issues at all, very laid back basic stay in an absolutely phenomenal location. Thank you Pitts family and Marazul crew!
