The place was great and the whole family enjoyed it. Plenty of room in the backyard (played cornhole, and threw football). Kids jumped off the dock and had a blast. Did notice a couple of minor things though... not a fan of cochroaches, master bedroom toilet seat was loose, and the dishwasher kept falling forward when opened. Other than those, the place was great and will probably book again if we ever stay in that area again.

Stayed here in June of 2025 with my kids and grandkids! We all had a blast, loved the house and amenities! Great location and boat dock. The covered dock was great to take a break from the sun. We hope to stay here again if it’s available for another family trip. The grands loved the smores around the fire pit too!

The host was amazing. Very responsive! House was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the dock area. Unfortunately the kayaks weren’t available which we were pretty excited about when booking but since it’s a lake town we went elsewhere to ride some. No biggie! Small hiccups with cleanliness. The outdoor trash was piled at the curb and there were dirty baking sheets left in the oven from previous guests. There were blood some stains on the mattress cover that saw when stripping the sheets. Unfortunately, it made us question how well the place is being cleaned for the cleaning fee we paid. Despite things mentioned, I would stay here again. Beautiful property and great host. The responsiveness from Shelley was a big plus. She was very accommodating.

Peaceful retreat

This property is clean, attractive and well appointed. The kitchen is roomy and easy to use. We enjoyed the outdoor areas and the large living room was comfortable for our program needs.

Our stay

We came to Milledgeville for my daughter’s wedding at the Dogwood Barn and it was amazing. The house worked perfect for some of the bridesmaids, my daughters and I to stay at. Thanks for allowing us to rent your place.

Funtime at the Lake with friends

Great time at a beautiful lake. Beautiful dock where we hung out all day. Great boating and fishing! Large kitchen with Lots of dining space for large group. Cozy fire pit to gather and roast marshmallows.

Very nice.

The house is beautiful. It was so homey. So comfortable. Loved the fire pit. Definitely loved being able to fish off the dock. We caught some awesome catfish. We just catch and release. Everything was just right.

Weekend Fishing Trip

Weekend getaway for fathers and sons. We spent the entire time on the dock fishing and took advantage of the kayaks. Having a partially covered dock was great for the changing weather and the power at the dock allowed us to keep up with the football games. We would highly recommend this property and consider returning.

Great night away with friends

Going to GCSU orientation the next day so stayed overnight. Nice clean place with a beautiful lake! A wonderful stay. The only thing that was a little inconvenient was there were no towels nor a small sample size of toiletries. Other than that it was a perfect stay!

PERFECT Stay for our families

This was perfect for our stay! Our daughter graduated from UGA and we needed a place to stay for the weekend for our family. Yes it's a 75 minute drive to Athens from Milidgeville but well worth it. The kids loved catching fish from the dock and we loved the location. Such a beautiful area! If you're looking for a rental for a UGA event this one is a great one and it beats paying 800 a night for a Best Western in Athens. . Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy your home while our daughter finished up a very important chapter in her life

The communication before the transaction went great. Check in was smouth and house rules were simple. I would use them again if I go back to the area. To them thank you for letting us use your home.

Spacious and serene

This house is in a very pretty setting on the lake. Plenty of room. Comfortable beds. And lots of them. Tidy. We didn’t cook but the kitchen seemed well-appointed. Beware there is a mandatory $1500 damage deposit or purchase of $60 damage insurance policy
