Exactly what we needed! Very quiet and clear skies. There are a few neighbors but a couple acres away. Pictures describe the property accurately. For being as remote as it is there is a dollar general within a ten minute drive as well as a bunch of small town areas with food/shopping within 20 minutes. Picture was taken with an IPhone but more stars than you can count!

Very nice property. It so peaceful and relaxing. Loved all the frogs and had a deer visit one morning by the fire pit. The only thing I would suggest is that there is an option for people who leave on Sunday for trash. I had to drive 2.5 hrs home with the trash in the car as the dump is closed.

Kitchen small even for two people. Bedroom crowded, ok for short, small guests. No electrical receptacle in bathroom. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Difficulty finding outlets to charge phones, dry hair, shave.Beautiful location!!! Had to wash glasses and plates before using them....all greasy, full of finger prints.

Just As Advertised

This cabin is everything that’s advertised. It’s quiet, quaint, and a great place to go with a family and reconnect. The dirt road is seldom traveled and all day you will hear maybe 4 or 5 cars. It’s far enough from the main road (which is also not busy) that you won’t hear the hum of traffic. There’s substantial woods behind the cabin, and the only neighboring properties you can see is another cabin (not occupied when we were there) and a house in the distance. You can hear their rooster in the morning :) The pond on the property was absolutely LOADED with green frogs. It was actually quite loud at times when they were croaking. My family had a fun time watching them and catching a few…It’s not fancy or pretentious. It has an 80s/90/s nostalgia feel with the lighting, furniture, and VHS video library. My family enjoyed hanging out and playing games in the living room and watching movies at night.Coudersport and Wellsville, NY are both within a short drive with some attractions and food. The nearby deer park was an excellent attraction where you can feed deer and buy tchotchkes. All in all, we have very few complaints. One thing to note is our weekend got VERY hot (heat dome!) and the cabin does not have AC. So factor that into your planning, the upstairs gets very warm and you may have trouble sleeping. Downstairs remained cool enough throughout. I hope to come back in the near future, likely more in the fall or even winter (to make use of the wood stove).

The property itself was charming and the cabin was a very cool setting. We lost power on the first night but they luckily had lanterns for us. Unfortunately, the cabin was not cleaned before we arrived so the mice (I totally understand it’s hard not to have mice in the country) had the run of the place. There were crumbs on the beds, the floor, mice poop on the floor and the dishes were dirty upon arrival. If it had been cleaned and opened up so it did not smell upon arrival, the stay would have been lovely.

Perfect place to disconnect

I loved going off the grid and getting away from the hustle and bustle of life. Stayed with my adult daughters and their boyfriends and we all enjoyed it. We watched movies, played games and had hours of talking with no distraction of our phones. The best part is you can stargaze right from the front of the house.

Went to see the stars

Nice location for star gazing, not the best for a family trip due to cleanliness. There were dead mice that we had to find due to the awful smell. Couldn’t find them all so the smell was there the entire time.

Wonderful time away from the city! Perfectly cozy cabin, no issues at all! It rained on our trip, which made it even better and cozier tbh! 10/10 already have friends wanting to know the spot. Reminds me of growing up with VHS and card games. No service or wifi, just vibes. Host was so nice, and answers very quickly.

Nice getaway cabin

Nice rustic cabin to get away from it all. No wifi or phone service, so you're forced to unwind, which is what we needed. The queen mattress was too soft for our liking downstairs, but other than that a lovely, rustic place.

Weekend Getaway Under the Stars

We enjoyed beautiful weather and clear nights to take in the countryside and nighttime stars. This place is cozy and pleasantly disconnected from the internet with lots of outdoor space to read and relax. The house itself is as advertised - not fancy, but perfectly comfortable and well equipped.
