Heart’s Desire was an amazing location. So close to Wisp, local stores, restaurants, etc. the view of fantastic. We loved that the house was equipped with two of every appliance- so helpful for a house full of people! The kitchen had good quality pots and pans and plenty of silverware, dishes, etc. We were hesitant about booking due to less than stellar reviews about temperature in the home- and I would say that was a bit of an issue for us. The first floor (which had 4 bedrooms) was freezing. There were space heaters in each room and they helped a bit. The house in general was super drafty, it “leaked like a sieve” as my husband said. On the other hand, the upper bedrooms were super hot. We were either hot or cold- had a hard time moderating the temp! The bathrooms were clean but definitely older. Couches and rugs were old and worn but good enough. All in all I’d say the home was “good enough.” The scenery, size, kitchen and general amenities and the location were perfect. If it were my home to rent out, I’d get new rugs and couches asap and try to do something about the thermostat. Maybe it needs two zones. I don’t know. That first level was icy cold!
