Our Hewitt Bear Den is a spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath home in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood. We are just one minute from the I-35 entrance, and 8 minutes later you’ll be at Baylor and the Silos. This convenient location also makes this the perfect place for business travelers. The home is nicely updated, has everything you need for a family stay, a friends’ getaway, or a home away from home while you are working. The spacious back yard has room for games, barbecuing, or just sitting out looking at the stars. There are many restaurants to choose from that are within 5 minutes as well. We hope you enjoy our Hewitt Bear Den!

Our stay.

Owner messaged with all the instructions in a timely manner. House was very clean and beds were comfortable. We had a great stay only thing I can add is there is no tv in the master bedroom.

We pride ourselves in having a home that is exquisitely clean and the feeling of home away from home, along with being available and helpful at every step along the way. We strive for five star performance in every aspect. Having no TV in the master bedroom is fully a function of there not being an electrical outlet in the area where a TV could go, but we do have 3 TV’s in the home… 1 in each of the spare rooms, and a large TV in the living room.

Beautiful home!

Beautiful, comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood. Very clean, all basic kitchen appliances and utensils available, and a well stocked spice cupboard. I especially loved the back patio with twinkle lights. 10/10

Baylor - Fall Graduation (12/21/24)

We celebrated my daughter's graduation at the Hewitt Bear Den. The kitchen and living area are the perfect size to host a small gathering. An added bonus was the backyard with a fire pit on the patio! All of which were well-kept and clean upon arrival. The Matt was extremely helpful, communication was easy and the house was decorated for Christmas!! The location is also fantastic: 10 minutes from Baylor University's campus and downtown if you've never been to Waco before. Overall, it was a perfect home base between all the busyness that comes with juggling a graduation. I'd stay here again, and I would recommend anyone else to stay here!!! "Sic 'em"

We are from the State of Washington, but fell in love with Waco when we visited the area. Now our son attends Baylor University and we are huge fans of Baylor and Fixer Upper! We enjoy relaxing on the back patio in the evenings, finding a nice walk in the morning (which could be on a golf course!), cooking a nice meal in the evening, and enjoying social time with friends at a winery or around a firepit. We love hosting visitors to both our vacation rental homes in Waco and on Maui, as we just want to share the wonderful places that we have chosen to call our homes!

The neighborhood is wonderfully quiet and calm, yet provides quick and easy access to the interstate, getting us quick and easy to Baylor and just about any other destination in the area.

We put our own sweat and tears into this home, doing the kitchen and bathroom renovations ourselves, and we are proud of what we present to our visitors! Staying in our home represents taking in our vision for what a home should be, plus putting you in close proximity to every possible need you may have.
