Welcome to Misty Mountain Hop in the Cobbly Nob Resort!

Cobbly Nob Resort is about 10 miles from the excitement of downtown Gatlinburg. The community features 3 seasonal pools, new pickleball courts, and Bent Creek Golf Course at the entrance (greens fees not included).

Our beautifully decorated, bear-themed 2-bedroom, 2-bath cabin sits on a private wooded lot with a creek running through it and is just a 1-minute drive (½ mile) to the “Lil’ Bit of Heaven” pool. With 1,200 square feet of comfort, screened-in hot tub, wrap-around decks, and cozy mountain charm, it’s the perfect retreat for couples, families, or friends.

Quiet location

Great Mountain Home

We decided what we were gonna do and we packed our bags for the Misty Mountain and asked if we could stay awhile… and we did!! What a great place!! Convenient to everything. Also very peaceful, if you just want to hang close. We would definitely stay again. The owners do it up right with the communications before arriving.

Loved being in the woods and the bear theme is very nice and fun. Only one of the pools was open. It was very nice with a view of the mountains. The hot tub is also very nice. This is an older home so the second shower is quite small. The shower spout is also low in the primary suite. We enjoyed our stay. It is about a 20 minute drive to Gatlinburg. We enjoyed being away from the crowds and saw more nature and bears this way.

Great place for a getaway

The property was perfect for our family of 4. Comfortable accommodations. 2 bathrooms great with kids. Owners were great to communicate with. The roads to the house were a challenge to navigate. Narrow mountain roads. Highly recommend.

Cozy cabin in a private setting

We stayed a week in this cabin and enjoyed every minute. The cabin is in a secluded area of Cobbly Nob, there is a hot tub on a sreened in deck, a fire place, and a large deck. The kitchen was large with everything you need to cook your meals. The bedrooms are a nice size and there are 2 bathrooms,there is also a barrel arcade filled with old school video games and upstairs they also have several board games. There is also a washer and dryer if you need to do any laundry.

Awesome place

We rented this cabin for a 4 day getaway and enjoyed the cabin so much we stayed an extra night. The cabin was very clean and was the cutest place ever. The beds were amazingly comfy and the hot tub was amazing as well. We visited when snow and ice was coming down and loved every minute. This place sat alone so it was secluded and that was nice too. The location in the woods made it seem so far away from civilization but was very close to amenities. I plan on visiting again during warmer weather. The owners of the cabin were very nice and had quick response times to texts and emails. I highly suggest this place to anyone looking for a mountain getaway.

First night we arrived I noticed all the cobwebs hanging in every nook.. the shower head in master bath need upgrading.. its not clean at all.. very dusty and dirty..

Peaceful, clean and away for the business

Smooth process from start to finish. Great communication. Clean house. We all loved the hot tub! Would recommend walking up the hill to the pool for great sunset views, even in the Fall/Winter! The house was stocked with everything that we needed including extra towels for hot tub. Which I forgot to pack! Gatlinburg is super busy, so it was nice to get away from the the busyness in this quiet area. Still not a bad drive back into town.

This was such a beautiful cabin in a nice location; a very relaxing get away!

The property was nice and well maintained, and the screened in hot tub was definitely a plus! The drive from the cabin to downtown Gatlinburg was not far, and yet the cabin was remote enough to offer good opportunities for bear sightings! This place will be definitely be at the top of my list for any return trips!

The house was nice & clean. It definitely needs some maintenance and repairs. The front door electronic lock doesn’t always lock. I had to tighten the screws to make it work. The toilet paper hanger is broken and not usable. The TV’s were not functional. The directions said to use the Direct TV remote, but we never found it, only the regular TV remotes. The toilets don’t flush completely unless you hold the lever down until all the paper is gone. The hot and cold in the master bedroom is backwards. There isn’t an exhaust fan in the master bathroom so the moisture has the drywall tape coming off the walls. The master bed is rough, it makes really loud noises anytime you move. Sounds like it’s going to fall in. The hot tub is nice and living room is comfortable. The kitchen is nice even though some of the drawers are broken.

Get away cabin near Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg is an opportunity to split our road trip from Georgia to Ohio into 2 days and it is surrounded by the beautiful smoky mountains. We wanted the opportunity to stay somewhere in the mountains and experience some of the charm of the region on our way through. The misty mountain cabin fit our needs perfectly. The family enjoyed watching a movie together, sitting in the hot tub and playing some vintage video games tucked away up in the mountain side.

Great experience

We enjoyed every moment of our stay. Within 30 minutes of arriving, we saw a bear cub walking across the back porch! That wasn’t our only encounter. We ended up spotting the mama bear and her two cubs wandering through the neighborhood a few times.The house was even better than expected, spacious, beautifully kept, and fully stocked with everything we needed, from dishes to pots and pans. The location was perfect too: peaceful, scenic, and just a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.There was so much to do in the area. We only wish we had more time to stay!

Great mountain getaway

This property was pretty much exactly as described in the listing. The main floor was an open and inviting space, great for hanging out with the family, preparing/eating meals, watching TV, playing games. Nice access to the outdoor space from the living room (although it was a little too cold when we stayed). Upstairs offered the comfort and privacy of separate bedrooms and bathrooms with easy access to the screened porch and hot tub, which was enjoyed by our family several times during our stay. Access roads in and out of the property appeared to be well maintained and on the one occasion we got some snow, salt was brought and put on the driveway by who we assume is one of the owners. Communication prior to our stay was timely and informative. The digital guidebook was very thorough and well developed. Other amenities at the property, like the dishwasher and washer/dryer, were a definite plus. Proximity to local attractions was great. We would definitely stay at this property again in the future.
