The property is good, certainly with some pros and cons.Pros:1. The location is great, you may walk to the King street to the shops and restaurants.2. Enough space for the family of four.3. Lovely rooftop terrace. Cons:1. The property was not as clean as expected, the floor, the carpets. Very weird odor, I had to buy a fragrance diffuser to place in the bedroom.2. Communication with the owner, sometimes he would reply in minutes, sometimes it took me 3 days to wait for the answer.3. The shower at the primary bedroom upstairs is tiny and leaking. The floor is a flood after you take a shower.

Pros: the property was close to King St and many of the things we wanted to do in Charleston. It was a short drive to many of the attractions in Charleston. The place was clean and offered a real nice roof top deck, which I wish we could have enjoyed but we weren’t able to use it since it rained the weekend we were there. Parking was fine for 1 spot and we were able to street parking near by for our friends. Cons: The upstairs bathroom is very small. My husband couldn’t turn around in it without hitting the shower walls. It also didn’t have a shower caddy so we had to put our toiletries on the floor and since it’s so small, it’s impossible to bend down and get what I needed. I actually had to inconvenience our friends on the main floor and had to use their shower. Also the lighting in the bathroom upstairs makes it impossible to put makeup on. There is only a ceiling light which when it’s on throws shadows and there is no light above the mirror. Also, the building is probably a historical building and the windows are paper thin. The host does provide ear plugs but we can hear every car and hear people walking by and their conversation. Also, no TVs in the bedroom, which is not a big deal but I overlooked that.

The property is a very nice 2 bedroom condo. There are a lot of stairs and if you have any difficulty with stairs, this is NOT the place for you. I didn't mind them at all. The rooftop is a huge plus. We spent the afternoon hours up there enjoying the sunshine and there is cute lighting for at night. The beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of room in the bedrooms. The ceilings are high and there are tons of windows to allow lots of sunshine. The property is located on the corner of a very busy street. There is a traffic light at this corner. You can hear the traffic all night long and actually hear people talking as they walk by. There is a basket of soft ear plugs in the bedrooms and sound machines in both rooms as well to help combat the noise. Honestly, I was so tired from walking so much all day that the noise didn't affect my sleep much. My husband struggled with the noise. The bathrooms are updated but the water pressure is lame. Overall the house was clean but the blinds were very dusty as well as the staircase. We rented a car because this location is not walkable to most of the popular tourist areas. I didn't receive any information about access to the property before my stay and had to reach out twice before getting a response. The owner was apologetic and was very accommodating when I asked for a later check out time as we had a late afternoon flight on Sunday.

Better than the pictures!

This is the cutest place! It’s decorated so well and it’s gorgeous. The shower is a little leaky but that’s disclosed. Everything was wonderful!

Fantastic Spot!

We loved our stay at 232 Ashley! The location was perfect: walkable to everywhere we wanted to go. The home was clean and the pictures were accurate. Would recommend this property!

Great Condo

This Condo was perfect for 2 couples. There are 2 bedrooms, each on one floor & 2 bathrooms that are accessible via each bedroom. The rooms are quite large and the beds were very comfortable. The entry is on the ground level, with a staircase that leads up to the first floor where the kitchen, living room and 1st bedroom/bathroom are located. Another set of stairs will lead you up to the 2nd bedroom with it's bathroom along with a door that leads out to a private roof deck. The roof deck was a great space to be in the morning to enjoy coffee and at night after a fun day of exploring Charleston. The entire condo is modern and clean. The beds are comfortable, the couches and furniture are as well. The central AC (with accessible thermostat) worked great which is important during a hot summer day/night in Charleston. Both bedrooms also have ceiling fans which provides even more comfort if you need. The apartment was walkable to most everything, I'd estimate about 10-15 minutes to King Street. The street is a little busier than a quiet Charleston side street, but was not an issue for us as we live in a similar type of area. The host did reach out to use the first morning via text to make sure everything was good and so that we could easily communicate if needed. We didn't need anything while we were there and I had only contacted the host after checking out to say how much we loved the condo. I would absolutely stay in this condo again!

Tastefully decorated cozy townhome

I LOVED this property and would definitely stay again; It was so cozy and updated! The bathrooms and the kitchen were all really clean. I also Loved the fact that they had an espresso machine, a drip coffee pot and a perk with a supply of coffee as well (although, we used our own, it was a great option in case we needed it). The bedding was GREAT (Pottery Barn!), the bed it's self was really good and having the deck area was an added plus! It was lit with beautiful string lights and great ambiance, allowing us to enjoy a few cocktails on the deck in the evenings. Now, I'll get to the things that weren't great, but would not affect me booking it in the future. First, when you walk in, there are about 20 steps to climb to get to the main floor and about 20 more steps to get to the second floor (I go to the gym, lift weights and get on the stair climber 5-6 days per week as well, but my glutes were sore for a couple of days after lol). Also, I am 5' 0" (slim) and my husband is 5' 11" (slim), the 2nd level shower was so tiny, I could barely get the shampoo out of my hair without putting my face right up to the shower wall and if I dropped something, I had to get out to pick it up. I am only mentioning this because if we were on the heavier side, that could have been a big problem, but I must say, having a small shower is better than no shower! Also, we only had 1 parking spot. I still Highly recommend this property!!!

We were four adults (two couples) visiting Charleston and could not have been happier with this property. It fit us just right, the location was great and the down-played roof top patio was a delight. We will plan on returning sometime....

Weekend getaway

Great location. The building is a bit noisy-if you are sensitive to noise bring ear plugs. Location worth it. Unit is older, so rating for cleanliness is more about caulk in bathroom fraying so there were bits of it in the shower and on the floor. House was generally clean and neat when we arrived.

Charleston couples getaway

We had a great stay at this cute condo. Perfect set up for couples. Loved the roof top patio. Great spot for our morning coffee and late night cocktails. Equipped with everything we needed. The City of Charleston and the amazing food did not disappoint! Highly recommend 167 Raw Bar and Big Bad Breakfast. And the coffee shop next door had fabulous specialty breakfast bagel sandwiches and lovely pastries.

Charming Place

We loved this place, it works well with 2 couples, and the rooftop was so charming as was the decor of the condo. The owner is super responsive. There are a lot of options for dining close by and having a coffee shop right next door was a big plus. I would definitely book this place again. Another great Charleston trip made even better with a great place to stay!

Cute and comfortable

This property is clean and bright with good sunlight and in a good location within walking distance to a lot of restaurants (there are also lime bikes across the street to make things even easier). Check in and out was easy and Mark was quick to respond with any questions we had. The only issue I had was trying to do my makeup at night as the lights in the rooms are pretty dim so this made it a little challenging. Other than that the furniture was comfortable and we got to enjoy some warm weather on the rooftop area. We would definitely stay again!
