West Shore Home near Sunnyside - high end furnishings and lodge style design

UPDATE: New front and back decks, new hot tub, and new front ground level patio for relaxing after a hike or trail run or MTB ride on the trails just steps from the house.

A bit more about our home - we are not a traditional rental, but rather a family home that we rent when we can't use the house ourselves. We have high end furnishings, chef's kitchen, nice linens, expensive AV/home theatre equipment and lots of toys in the garage. We are best for families with kids vs. groups of young adults looking to party. We do not offer ski lease or any long terms rentals longer than 2 weeks.

The property was built in 1996 and fully renovated in 2008. The house has 4 bedrooms (cal king and queen upstairs and downstairs has a queen and bunks for 4). There are 3 full bathrooms - 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs. In addition to the 2 bedrooms, the downstairs has a theatre room with bar, fridge, sink, foldout couch for two, fireplace 63' plasma TV, Playstation 4, DVD, AppleTV, surround sound. Also downstairs is 2 car garage with pool table, ping pong and dartboard.

In addition to the 2 bedrooms, upstairs has a kitchen/great room that includes a dining table for 10, a fully stocked chef's kitchen with high end stainless appliances, family room with 52' LED TV, DVD, AppleTV, surround sound.

Also upstairs are 2 decks - Front deck has 4 comfy adirondack style chairs. Rear deck offers 8 person hot tub, large gas BBQ and outdoor sectional sofa, chaise, and dining table for 8.

The house is 2 blocks from Paige Meadows trailhead with cross country skiing, sledding, biking and hiking. This is a gorgeously decorated, very cozy home that you won't want to leave.

We are members at the Tahoe Park Beach Association, which consists of three & one half acres of land with 850 feet of lake front footage, 2 piers, boat buoys, picnic facilities, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, lawn area, playground equipment, basketball court and open space. http://www.laketahoeparkassociation.com. You can reserve a picnic table/bbq by stopping by the admin office at the entrance. We especially like Table #4 if its available. Buy some tackle and use bacon as bait to catch Crawdads at the piers.

The West Shore Home near Sunnyside was a perfect place for our family of 10 summer vacation.The location was great for visiting extended family, hiking or beach time. We all loved beautiful Tahoe Park. Our time there included paddle boarding, swimming, playing games or just finding a shady place to read and enjoy the atmosphere.The cabin was clean, well equipped and accommodated everyone. Of course a week was not enough time to enjoy the area or cabin.From scheduling to departure, Mike and Liz were communicative, flexible and kind.We hope to stay there again soon.

Great for large family getaway

Spent a long weekend at this beautiful home following heavy snowstorm. Kids loved building a snowfort in the yard and sledding in the neighborhood. Adults loved the warmth of the fire, the rustic decor, the superb kitchen, and a dining table that could fit 10 people. This is a truly beautiful home with rough beams and stone walls. Perfect winter getaway for a 3 generation family.

Great Family Gathering

We had a wonderful family gathering in lovely home that was situated in Tahoe City/ Sunnyside area. Close to Paige Meadows trails, private HOA beach and lake. We did have a couple of problems, bur the owners were very prompt to respond and assist. If we all ageed to meet in that area we would definitely rent this home again.

Ski week made easy

Had a great ski week. Easy checkin process. Great place for 2 families with kids. Spacious, house well equipped, nice fire places, hot tub, sleds, pool table, games...easy drive luckily to alpine meadows...we were set. Kids had a blast, parents relaxed. Hope to return.

Wonderful house and location

We had a great stay. The house and outdoor living spaces were perfect for us. It gave our group plenty of room to spread out. The location on the West Shore was close to everything we wanted to do. The ability to use the Lake Tahoe Park, a private picnic area with docks and a beach was awesome. Every morning we went and jumped in the lake. We always met people down there that had been coming for years and were full of suggestions for things to do and places to go. The host was great and communicated with us the entire time. Highly recommend staying here.

Lovely Home with great kitchen and outdoor space

We really enjoyed the house. Excellent proximity to Truckee river and everything along west shore of Tahoe, including Emerald Bay. We especially enjoyed the well appointed kitchen and the ample deck space in front and back. New hot tub, comfy beds, 2 big living areas with large tv's. Plenty of hiking nearby with spectacular views of Tahoe. Great for kids and families.

Amazing Home in the woods!

This home was absolutely gorgeous, even better than the pictures! Fully equipped with everything you need and so close to Tahoe City but you feel so far away! Quick drive to the lake and nearby ski resorts. The owner was wonderful to work with and so accommodating. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars

Thanksgiving Memories 2022

Plenty of space for our family of eight! House was cozy, well stocked, and had so much to offer for all ages. Great communication and check-in/out was a breeze! We had a memorable holiday stay. We did have a few issues outside of anyone's control but Mike, the host, resolved them professionally and in a very timely manner. We were very impressed with his responsiveness and willingness to assist to get the issues rectified. You'll enjoy building your family memories here!

Memorable summer days with family and friends

Mike (the host) was great throughout the whole process, always super helpful and responsive. The house itself is even better in person than in the pictures. The decor is spot on, with great taste throughout. The bedrooms and living area have the perfect size for a large group (6 adults and 3 kids in our case) and the two decks were perfect for having outdoor meals and relaxing in the hot tub. We will definitely keep coming back. Thanks, Mike!

Great place!

My family loved this house. We brought our adult children with their families and all fit perfectly. The location was great, being close to Tahoe City. Having beach access was a huge perk. Michael was quick and friendly with responding to all our questions. Would definitely love to stay here again!

Great Tahoe City Getaway

The house was exactly as described and depicted in pictures. Check-in was smooth and efficient. The owner was extremely accessible reaching out the morning of our check-in to offer to heat up the house upon our arrival and even passed along service outage updates on a timely basis. We would definitely rent this house again if ever in the Tahoe City/Palisades Tahoe area.

Great house!

We stayed with another family for a long ski weekend and the house was great! We had everything needed to cook a proper dinner, the house was clean and spacious, and plenty of games, activities, etc. for all ages. We’d definitely stay again!

Really Nice Property

Rustic, but very nice home with a great kitchen and amenities. The kids loved their bunks and games, we enjoyed the audio video and games in garage! Michael was terrific and very responsive, couldn't ask for more!

Fabulous home and great host

This home was fabulous with very nice amenities and attention to detail. The location is great with the home set in a quiet neighborhood which is close to skiing, restaurants and shopping. Our host was always available for any and all questions. We will definitely visit again.

Great Holiday Break Week

Our family spent a week at the property the week before Christmas and really enjoyed the space! Comfortable spaces, great kitchen, lovely neighborhood, great host, and many other pluses! Kids enjoyed the tv room and playstation, and the adults enjoyed the upstairs with fireplace and hot tub. Michael was very easy to work with and was a great host! We made lovely family memories during our stay and hope to return. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Beautiful home! Perfect for our group . Lower level living space great hang out for kids. Upper level living room - kitchen- dining room. Big enough for entire group. Well equipped kitchen. Hot tub well maintained.

Great house!

Loved all the outside seating - we were there during some warmer than normal weather, so house got a bit warm, but there were some fans there to help move the air around and plenty of space on 2 decks for just hanging out and socializing. Great location to lake & Tahoe City for shopping. Great communications from Host Michael.
