Blue Heron Cottage – Walk to the Beach! Comfortable two bedroom / two full bath house in Ocean Lakes Family Campground.

The Blue Heron is a 2BR/2BA cottage on quiet Dolphin Drive, sleeping 4 with a queen bed and two twins. Enjoy spacious rooms, a covered front porch, and a remodeled, well-equipped kitchen. A gas grill is in the garage, and a Club Car golf cart is available to rent separately. Stay connected with WiFi and three smart TVs. Pet-friendly—up to two dogs welcome!

Terry and Zane own and manage the Blue Heron. We live near by and are available before and during your stay!

Ocean Lakes is pet friendly and has a nice dog park. However, they not allow Pit Bulls or Rottweilers in the campground

Check-in is 4pm. Your registration with Ocean Lakes Campground should be complete and you have your security pass on your rearview mirror. If not, you need to stop at the registration office to pick it up before passing security.
Check-out is at 10am. Please collect all belongings, wash and put dishes away, empty trash cans into rolling can outside, place the cart key and storage building key on the dining table.

The cottage was very clean. It is located on a quiet street. We loved being able to rent the golf cart directly from the owner. We loved finding this great cottage that is pet friendly.

We had a wonderful stay, it was beautiful weather all week and it only rained one afternoon. We took full advantage of the water park, spending about seven hours a day there. My daughter enjoyed it thoroughly.

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. The owners are easily reached and quick to respond, the home is well kept, and Ocean Lakes has everything you need for a vacation, especially with small children!

Relaxing

Our favorite room was the front porch. We sat out there for hours every day. The house great, everything you could want. It was clean, neat and well furnished. We would definitely stay again.

Excellent quick getaway

The Blue Heron was exactly as described on the listing. Was stocked with all the things we needed to make our short stay perfect. From the moment we booked, Zane and Terry communicated all crucial info. We had trouble accessing the lock box for the golf cart however Terry came and dropped off the keys so we could enjoy the cart. Overall excellent little house

Small hideaway

Cute when you first walk in. Kitchen open to living and dinning with nice furniture.However, counter pulled away from the wall, the floor is soft and sinking in places. The refrigerator had mold on outside, primary sink leaked and mattress not very comfortable. vercom

Relaxing Thanksgiving

We were very pleased with our stay. After selling our RV in March, we were leery about renting a property. We have always camped in our RV. We missed Ocean Lakes so much that we thought we would give a rental a chance. Absolutely no regrets. Highly recommend the Blue Herring!

Needs Updating

The property really needs an update BAD! It was relatively clean, but old appliances bathroom is not updated at all. I think too much money for older place. Needs a facelift and a good thorough cleaning. Owners were super friendly and accommodating but need to invest some money in the place.

Late summer getaway

We enjoyed our stay! The house was just as listed, and our fur baby loved it too! One night, the air conditioning stopped working, and it got very hot, but they had someone over quickly the next day to fix it, which we appreciated. The only thing we noticed was that the master bed mattress needs to be replaced. It’s quite worn, and you end up rolling into the middle because of the sagging. Other than that, everything was great!

Amazing Stay!

We absolutely loved the place! The description was exactly correct. The golf cart was not included and it is in the description with a separate charge. As soon as we got there we sent the information and money. Zane got back to us in less than 5 min for the golf cart rental. We did have issues with the golf cart with the front axles. We messaged Terry and Zane and they immediately came with a game plan to fix it. We took the golf cart to the Golf cart shop and they refunded us for a day. The golf cart was fixed in 4-5 hours and he delivered it so that we didnt have to leave the beach. The house was clean, nice location, and checked all of our boxes! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for all the accommodations!

The house and hosts are great. The house was very clean and the pictures are accurate of the appearance of the interior. It was just a short walk to the beach. On the way to the beach is a small lake with turtles, geese and ducks that we stopped and watched every day. Ocean lakes is a great place with everything you need to enjoy your time there with a heated indoor pool that is perfect for this time of year.
