Beautiful Getaway

Beautiful cabin, great location. Very peaceful, we enjoyed several rides along the Blue Ridge Parkway and had it almost to ourselves this time of year. Robin was very helpful, the cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed.

Beautiful views

Fancy Gap Visit

Beautiful area and easy to get to. The house was very clean and a good size. It was very peaceful and Robin the owner answered any questions we had in a timely manner. Great place to rest or a short drive to activities. Looking forward to another visit in the future.

Fancy Gap cottage

From the moment we walked into the cottage, we felt at home. Robin was great at suggesting trails for our son to hike. We found some great restaurants and loved the entire area.

The best.

Very quite place, 2 hammocks to lay in and enjoy the outside and plenty of room inside. Has Amazon Firestick, so we mainly watched TV on that.. Beds are the BEST.. Sleep very good.. A must place to stay at for 2 days or for a week or even longer!!! Robin was the best host ever.. WIll stay at the cabin again for sure...

Cozy and quiet

We had a nice weekend stay at Robin’s home. The house was much larger than I thought it would be with plenty of chairs for outdoor seating. The grill was out and ready for use and the beds were comfortable to sleep in. We had a little hiccup while there and Robin responded timely and appropriately. Overall, it’s a beautiful property and we would stay there again for a getaway in the mountains!

A step back in time

Robin is an AMAZING host! The property is vintage, but exquisite is the furnishings. We wanted for nothing in terms of towels, cookware, dishes, laundry products, etc. We needed some peace, and we found it here.

Perfect Holiday Respite

Easy from start to finish, including getting there. Robin was communicative and responsive, though we had want for nothing. The property is being continuously refreshed - beyond even the photo updates. It was perfect for us and our pup to get away and do nearly nothing for a few days. Plenty of space and very comfortable for the 3 of us. We worked 3-2/3 of the puzzles there and just had some downtime. Had a great time and would definitely stay again!

Very nice place to relax and see some beautiful scenery. This house had all the things you would need for a rental property. Saw a big buck deer one afternoon around 2:00pm and he was no more than 20 yards away from us. Heard turkeys in the mornings. Our host Robin was very helpful with questions I asked her. Thanks for a wonderful get away.

Home to Relax

My husband and I recently stayed at this property for our anniversary. It was so peaceful! I was impressed with the cleanliness. The property matched the description perfectly. Everything was as advertised—no surprises, just a relaxing and stress-free experience. The photos and details provided were accurate, which is something I really appreciated when booking. It is important that future renters know that the drive to get to the home would be challenging if we had been pulling our enclosed trailer. We considered hauling our motorcycles to ride on the parkway, but the trailer would have been damaged on the driveway to the home and driving the bikes on the gravel road would have been stressful.

Stay at Carroll County

Very good but a couple of things would make it a lot better. The refrigerator makes weird noses plus it leaks water inside and freezes to the top glass shelf. The other concern is the recliner. When you sit back in it it almost puts you on your head backwards. I’m handicapped and I need to be able to sit back in a recliner to keep my left foot from swelling.. Everything else is great.

Everything you could want out of a weekend mountain cabin getaway

This place is an absolute breath of fresh air! Like everyone else said, the pictures do not do it justice! Beautiful, warm, welcoming home. My husband has been working in VA so we decided to meet halfway for a relaxing weekend and I'm so glad we picked this cabin. The view of the mountains when the sun rises in the morning is breathtaking. Our golden retriever had the best time playing with the neighborhood dogs in the front yard. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare any kind of meal so you don't hve to leave the cabin unless you want to. The tv picked up most of the network channels so my husband was able to catch a few plays of the weekend's big football games. Robin, the owner, couldn't be more sweet, considerate, and accommodating. We hope to be back very soon! Thank you!

This is a precious privately owned home and has been in our family since it was custom built in 1981. The view at the end of the driveway behind us (circa 1999) is overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains and into Mount Airy, NC, Pilot Mountain, and Winston-Salem in the distance.
