Perfect lake house rental

Perfectly located lake house. Protected dock from the main channel and boat launch near by. The house was clean and spacious with amazing sunrises from the deck.

perfect weekend getaway

I really enjoyed our time at this lake house. It was very quiet and check in was well explained. I do recommend reading all the instructions prior to going, but would encourage anyone to check this place out!

Good Stay

Check in was easy. Property view and location is top notch. Beds/sheets clean. Towels had a musty smell when wet. Had to empty the dish washer and empty the dryer and fold. Property is older and dated but ok for the nightly price. The house could use a handyman to fix up some of the minor things that annoy homeowners. For off season it was fine. I would not stay there again. But if 250 a night is your budget then this would be just fine. Not a bad VRBO, just an older house with older house issues. 4 star for the stay. off season

Great stay!

We had a retirement party to go to at Papa Chubby’s so we rented this house for the weekend with two other couples. Check in was easy and the house was very nice. No issues or complaints.

Perfect place for our family Thanksgiving. Great location. Beautiful view of the lake. Plenty of space for us. Guys enjoyed fishing and family together time was much needed. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Great spot!

We spent a long weekend here! Kitchen and bathrooms are all updated and had the essentials! Beds were comfortable. Reading some of the other reviews, the driveway is steep but we had no issues with our vehicles or problems walking up and down. The top deck was great, we didn’t use the lower deck as there were lots of cobwebs. The dock was well used, My husband caught lots of fish! It is on a very quiet part of the lake. The neighbors are very friendly! We throughly enjoyed our stay!

Great Property

Property, owner, and manager were great. The house had nice and comfortable amenities and contained everything you would need to spend your vacation here. House is in close proximity to stores, restaurants, bars etc. And the view from the deck is amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxation near home

This property was everything I wanted it to be. We were two couples and a single friend, but there were more beds available in the house. We swam off the private dock, made our meals in the house, and played the games we brought with us. If you forget something, like we did, of course, there's a supermarket and Dollar General nearby.

Beautiful location

Excellent communication. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful location. Close to grocery store. Very quiet cove even though Captain Ron’s is within walking distance. Sunrise on the deck, nice view of the sky at night. It was perfect for our family.

The house is just as it is pictured. Close to stores/gas station if anything is needed. Great dock to swim from and a good spot on the lake for boating! Would definitely stay again!

Great location - beautiful view

Wonderful stay with an AMAZING view! The view, dock and swimming is what made this place for sure! We had 6 of us staying and the inside living room was a little small, but the view was so worth it!

Great Location

We loved the location. The home is as described and within steps of the water. My son and I love fishing were able to catch several catfish and bass right from the dock. The owner offers a boat rental right from his dock as well. He is comparably priced to other rental companies in the area but you have the added benefit of it being at your dock. The home is also near another nice rental company right around the corner on the water. We rented kayaks for a day then jet skis for a day from them and once again it was very beneficial to be so close to the house. One of the best things is where the home is on the lake. You are on a quieter section but if you crave the excitement like my wife does, you are only about a 20 minute drive from Osage Beach where all the action is. I read several reviews before I booked. Seems like the common negative is the steep driveway. I will admit that it’s pretty steep, but if you’ve been driving longer than a month, this shouldn’t be an issue for you. I brought my parents with me who are in their 70’s and they had no issues pulling into and out of the home in a small Kia SUV. I drive a huge F-250 with an 8” lift on 37” tires and I too had no issues. The driveway is plenty big enough to not have to worry about the slope. So don’t let those reviews worry you.

House was just as expected per the website. Beautiful views and close access to anything you need. Owner and properyy manager were easy to get a hold of if you needed. Would definitely stay at this property again!

Great vacation!

House as very clean and everything was as was posted in the listing. Location is great with paved highway and close to stores and restaurants. Dock and swim deck perfect. Communication with owner and property manager was very responsive and pleasant. This is great for those with kids as the kids can hang out in the basement while parents hangout upstairs. I would definitely stay again!

Over all Ok but not recommended if you have joint issues

The location of the property is great. The interior has been remodeled, the kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The sky light in the living room leaks when it rains, the owner knows and is trying to get this addressed. The lower deck and stairs down to the lake are not in good shape and not very safe, especially after dark (I saw there were other comments on this as well) Our biggest issue was the access from the road; it has a very steep driveway which is not disclosed in the listing. We got our truck down the driveway the first day and with 4 wheel drive we barely managed to get it back up the incline. That meant walking up and down a very steep gravely hill every time we went out. I have replacement joints and it was not very safe for me. There are no handrails and it is poorly lighted. This is ok, but should be disclosed up front.

Location location!!

What a Great Lake view! We really enjoyed the house and the dock for fishing. The location was fantastic as it’s close to convenience store, grocery, gas and restaurants. The mattresses in guest rooms probably time to update, the master was comfy. The outdoor furniture time to update as well. We had all we needed in the kitchen for our bbq night. Overall it was great and we would stay again.

Clean, Updated, views, adequate dock, busy cove.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family weekend there. The home was pleasant, very clean, and overall a sweet place to stay. The inside looked to be newly updated. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The plates, glassware and silverware were nice. Great views. The outdoor lighting on the side of the house and on the front of the lower deck was an issue. They weren’t working. It made the stairway entrance/landing off the side of the deck unsafe at night, not being able to see that first step. Several in our group tripped on that first step in the dark. Thankfully no one fell and got seriously injured. Also the lights on the front of the lower deck weren’t working. These lights were supposed to light the pathway around the front to the dock. So It was dark there also, making it a risk. The manager was contacted about the exterior lighting problem. He told me where the switches were for the lower deck lights. I tried them but they didn’t work. He also told me the lights on the side of the house didn’t work. He did not offer nor indicate they’d be repaired. The deck was covered with debris from the trees. We tried to blow it off, but no extension chord, so we swept it off. The lower level of your deck is amazing and really should be developed. There are leaks under the kitchen sink and main bathroom sink. There was decent communication, I just wish the exterior lights had all worked. A fish cleaning station on the dock would be a nice addition.

Roof Leak

Overall, the place is nice. Loved the view. It rained all one day and the roof leaks in the living room a little. I brought some laundry soap and used when I washed the towels, but it would encourage people to properly wash the towels if soap were available.

Lake of Ozarks trip

Overall it was a good property. Older home that has had very nice remodeling done inside, especially the kitchen area. Outside deck, stairs to dock, and landscaping needs some work, but overall it was pretty much as presented. Our 2 grandsons loved the basement room with the bunk beds...they thought they had their own little apartment. Driveway was steep and very challenging, but we managed.

Terrific for building family memories!! Important features for us were the terrific views from the double decks and from inside the home, the no-wake cove, easy drive with black top all the way, fire pit, wood burning fireplace and a short 5 minute drive to grocery stores, restaurants and shops. Captain Ron's is about a 1/3 mile walk and offers that relaxing "lake feeling" with live music and many activities!!

Captain Ron's family restaurant and Pirate's Point Boat and Jet Ski Rentals is just around the corner. Our family enjoys water sports and day hikes in Ha Ha Tonka State Park which is about a 20 minute drive away. Outlet Mall shopping is a favorite where we can catch a movie with the kids.
