Where the Road Ends, Adventure Begins-Sunset Views&Kayaks at a Boat-Only Hideout

This 2-Bedroom Bungalow has a large open eat-in kitchen with everything you need to prepare family meals. The first floor also has a full bathroom with standup shower. The living room has large windows to catch those beautiful sunsets inside from the sofa or you may prefer to end the night listening to the waves outside on the adjacent deck. One large lower level bedroom completes the first floor. It has a queen bed the looks out on to Lake Ontario. A second story bedroom has a queen bed and futon. Also upstairs is a large open loft with two twin beds. Lastly, a indoor sunroom off the front of the house makes a great spot for Breakfast dining or a mid-afternoon book.

As you boat up to the private dock from the bay, you will find a large sandy shore complete with a fire pit, picnic tables and large bar and grill for all your entertaining! The backyard facing the lake has a stone shore (sandy a few feet out) complete with another fire pit and large wooden deck.

Book now to experience amazing Lake Ontario sunsets out your back yard and views of Sodus Bay Islands out your front door.

Note: This is a Boat only access property. As such, it cannot be accessed by car. Boat rentals are available at any of the local marinas, including; Bay Bridge Sports Shop, Krenzer, Island Cove (was Frowlers marina), Martin’s marina.

The location is just gorgeous having Lake Ontario in the front and Sodus Bay in the back is just amazing. Will definitely be coming back to this little piece of heaven.

We had an amazing time at this vacation rental !!I would only recommend that if you cook with a lot of spices to bring your own. The spice cupboard is very outdated / expired items. One other item was upsetting but not at all the owners fault. On the ontario beach side of the cottage they have some unfriendly neighbors. I would recomend buying fire wood prior to coming to the rental. We were told we could gather beach wood all along the beach and one of the neighbors yelled at my daughter for doing so. My daughter got scared and was crying. I again want to state that this is not the renters of this properties problem how others act, but for a rental property I would think the neighbors would be kinder. It was washed up wood from the lake not anything else. This same neighbor then let there dog come up to our dog unleashed and we did not appreciate that as she yelled at us the day prior for what she was then doing at our rental. Overall we loved this vacation home. Just use caution when walking the shoreline for drift wood / firewood and bring your own spices if you enjoy cooking with them.We will definetly hopefully be back!

Our second time here and it is absolute bliss. We love the cottage and the views are amazing. Two fire pits make for lovely evenings and the sunsets are fantastic. The hosts have very thoughtfully thought of all the basics. Bring your food beverage and bathing suits. We will be back. Thank you so much!

Beautiful views of lake Ontario

Enjoyed our stay at this cottage located between Sodus Bay and lake Ontario. Great access to both bodies of water. Cottage was clean and cute and had all the basic amenities. Had an issue with the ac that the owner was quick to communicate and remedy situation. Beautiful sunsets over lake Ontario.

Sodus Point Vacation

Amanda and Brian are outstanding hosts. The home was clean and well prepared and their communication was excellent. Swimming in Lake Ontario was great and having the boat to travel throughout the bay was fun. We went to Captain Jack's and were able to bring our dog to Pier 53 for off island meals and activity. Anchored at the sand bar multiple times to swim. Great vacation!

Great spot

A very nice cottage for a stay on Lake Ontario. If the lake is too rough, you just hang out on the dock on the bay side! Awesome fun!

Great lake getaway

House was clean and everything was in good working order. it is situated between the bay and lake so you have a great view no matter where you look or what room your in.

Best Girls trip weekend!!

We stayed the weekend at the Lure...unfortunately this will be our first and last stay as the owners have sold the property. The weekend was AMAZING and if we could we would book this every summer. They were above and beyond with responding, accommodating, helping, etc. The property was so gorgeous...Sodus Bay in the back, the lake in the front. The sunsets were gorgeous!! The area is quiet, relaxing and beautiful. We are sad this was a one and done, but so grateful to have had the time there ;) 10 out of 10 for this getaway!!!

Absolutely amazing!!!

Our time at the cottage was amazing! The cottage was very comfortable and clean. Martha was a doll and more than willing to help her guests! The cleaning staff came just as they said and took care of our needs. I'd definitely recommend staying here!!!!!

Lure Cottage was a perfect get away!

Lure Cottage was a perfect get away..We loved being surrounded by water the calmness of the bay on one side and lake on the other side. The cottage was perfect for our group..clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the kayaks and boat that was included in the rental.It was a very relaxing and fun get away..even our 2 dogs loved it..The sound of the waves at night and the spectacular sunsets made this a great vacation spot.Scott was very friendly and accommodating. It was very apparent that he loves his little piece of paradise and wanted us to enjoy it too..Thank you for sharing your cottage with us and for the wine cheese and crackers :) We will definitely be back!

Paradise

The cottage was just what our family needed to get away to a little piece of paradise. My husband, myself 2 teenagers and our 10 mo dog loved the water, sand and boat. Such freedoms surrounded by God’s creation!!! The hostess with the most Martha was the best bonus to our vacation at The Lure! She made sure everything was on point and did it all so graciously. And the kids loved her scavenger hunt. We were able to meet Scott taking us back upon our departure, what a humble busy man! We are grateful for them and their place closing out our summer desires to “be” as a family surrounded by such peace. Would of only added a few extras days…. BUT next time…

Had a great time at crescent beach!

The cottage location was absolutely beautiful. Had a great time there with a group of girlfriends. Martha was extremely helpful and easy to get a hold of. Would definitely stay here again!

Pure Magic

This is our second stay and I'm booking our third ASAP. This is a wonderful place that is good for anyone and everyone looking to escape. We spend our days fishing, swimming, looking for lake glass and enjoying the pure magic that this place is. Martha and Scott are amazing and helpful. We bring our dogs and they have the best time. Book it now, you won't regret it.

This is a great adventure, but not far from all that you could ask for!

We had a great time at your cottage. Loved the lake with private beach out back, kids had a blast surfing the waves. They were also able to swim out front off of the dock, where it was all sand. Such a great relaxing get away, Thank You!

Great Location, the view is amazing !! We loved the new deck on the bay side. Kids and adults had fun fishing in the bay. Scott is quick to respond to any issues. We all enjoyed our stay on Sodus Bay and Lake Ontario.

Absolutely Amazing Book it Now!!!

What an amazing place. The house was perfect. The location was something out of a fairytale. The hosts were wonderful, helpful and always available for questions. Martha even had a treasure hunt for our daughter with a map and everything. The lake in the front yard and the bay in the back with fire pits on both sides was perfect. Family friendly but would be great for any kind of trip where you want to be wowed. I can't say enough good things and hope to make more memories at lure cottage.

Amazing Time!

We were a party of 14 young adults and had a blast. Little of everything relaxing in front of the beach during the day, making meals together, grilling, having drinks, playing card games and listening to music. To taking a mini excursion into Sodas Point. So much fun! Can't wait to do it again! Martha your amazing!

Sodus Point: A quick boat ride to Sodus point provides a great lunch spot with a handful of delicious restaurants. The nightlife at the point is a great time regardless of the day of the week!

Fishing Paradise : Sodus Bay fisherman may encounter the following species of fish northern pike, walleye, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, pumpkinseed, bluegill, rock bass, crappie, white perch, carp, bullheads, and channel catfish. Recently the yellow perch fishing in Sodus Bay has taken the spotlight.

Boaters Dream: Sodus Bay NY is the largest harbor on the U.S side of Lake Ontario. Boating in and around the bay as well as venturing up and up and down the coast of Lake Ontario is a breeze as your boat never needs to leave the water!

Close Proximity to Chimney Bluffs: You can experience dramatic clay spires from above or along the lakeshore on nature trails. Day-use services include picnic areas, nature trails and restrooms.

Other attractions include: Fruit Orchards, Breweries, Sodus Bay Beach Park, Sodus Lighthouse and so much more!
