Wake up surrounded by towering evergreens in this private forest retreat in Sudden Valley, just minutes from Lake Whatcom, Galbraith Mountain trails, and downtown Bellingham. Designed for slow mornings, cozy nights by the fire, and year-round Pacific Northwest escapes, Forest Haven is a comfortable base for relaxation, remote work, and outdoor adventure.

You have full private access to the entire home and property. Radiant floor heating keeps both levels cozy year-round. Thermostats are conveniently located on each floor.

Other things to note
- Outdoor Ring doorbell with video and audio recording is active for your safety
- Strict no-pet policy to ensure the space remains safe and comfortable for guests with allergies.
- No Smoking anywhere on property, house, yard, including front and back deck .
- Please leave skis, kayaks, bikes, and other gear in the garage — do not bring inside the house
- Shoes off policy inside the home for a clean and cozy environment

Please leave used towels in the tub or shower. Please do not leave them in the washer. Leave the trundle pillows/duvets on the daybed if used. House keeping will take care of them.

Load and run the dishwasher before you check-out. Please ensure BBQ grill is cleaned if used. Deck door and Garage should be closed. Lock the door behind you using your door code.

This is a pet free and shoes off home. Please turn off outside lighting by 11 PM. Quiet time between 10 PM and 7AM. No smoking anywhere on property

Please be fire smart when using gas fireplace on deck and inside the house as well as the fire pit. Do not leave the home with the fire unattended.

My family stayed here while we visited the North Cascades. It’s a beautiful location near Lake Whatcom and a convenient short drive into Bellingham. The house is beautiful and filled with comfortable touches. The host was very quick to respond and made everything easy. Definitely recommend!!

Serene, clean, and comfortable!

Amazing property in a secluded feeling area while still being a reasonable drive to downtown Bellingham and a short drive to beautiful Whatcom Falls. The house was immaculate, the beds were very comfortable, good cooking supplies, even the toilet paper was high quality! Communication from the hosts was very good and they accommodated a special request we had. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again!

Great family home

We loved staying at this property! It is extremely clean and well apportioned. The driveway is quite steep and a bit hard to navigate going downhill, but the home is lovely and gives you the feel for Sudden Valley. We would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful house and host

If you want quiet and beauty, this is the place to go. We were a group of 8 senior citizens. We had a medical issue and the host was so accommodating. Highly recommend Forest Haven. 10 out of 10!!

Wonderful stay outside of town

This was a warm and very inviting place with exquisite facilities, kitchen, and patio. The no pet policy was appreciated as well, since we have allergies too. Rupa and Ashok were clear and cordial all the way throughout our visit, and we would not hesitate to book again for another stay!

beautiful spot in quiet wooded area close to many hiking trails

Property was clean and had all the things needed for a nice week with our family of 9. Communications with Rupa was as good as it gets. Love the nature around the home. Had multiple times deer were with in 50 feet of the back deck.

Beautiful clean home that feels like you are in the woods

Very clean home with good room for our family. We had 10 members in our party and there was plenty of room for all of us. Open concept allowed plenty of room to congregate around the kitchen and dining area. Would recommend.

Great Property in Sudden Valley

This is a great property in Sudden Valley. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood with a large deck in a very private backyard. The property is very well maintained and well equipped. A great location with lots of nearby trails and easy access to Bellingham.

Excellent property!

A wonderful and fully updated property. Four of us were on a Pacific Northwest golf trip and the house was the perfect launching point for our daily rounds of golf. Rupa and Ashok were a pleasure to deal with.

Lady's annual trip

Property was very clean and well stocked. Communication with the owners was very easy. The house was beautiful and outside space was very relaxing. House is approximately 20 minutes from Bellingham and 90 minutes from North Cascades National Park. Owners provide maps of the area which was very helpful.

Get away with friends

We truly enjoyed staying in this house! It felt like we were secluded while not being at the same time. The owners were very supportive and communicated about everything that we needed to know very quickly. Plus all the little things about the house made it great. Nice pots, pans, dishes, etc. All around great place to stay.

Beautiful polished hardwood and enjoyable kitchen layout. Our 2 yr old grandson stayed one night and we had everything we needed! As always when we we travel, happy we were able to arrive during daylight. Garage was big plus due to frost in am

Great for large group

Great for our large group of friends both with and without young kids. Very very clean. Kitchen had everything you might need and more. Very easy to communicate and flexible when we needed to switch dates. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful place!
