Historic Murphy's House

This is not your ordinary vacation rental!
Our home is located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in St Augustine, the Historic Abbott Tract. The Historic Murphey House is a wonderful two story house that was built between 1885 and 1894, the details set it apart from the rest. Our house features original hardwood floors throughout, antique brass chandeliers, original door hardware, beautiful antique furniture, and a claw foot tub. The centerpiece in the kitchen is a very rare and working 1926 electric stove which features two ovens, and multiple burners. All the charm of a Bed and Breakfast with an affordable price. This is your chance to experience St Augustine the way it is meant to be experienced.

We have also just finished a complete exterior renovation so please book and enjoy this special place. The house is equipped with central heat and air conditioning to keep you comfortable, and it is set up to sleep up to 6-8 people, if you have the larger group of 8, the master suite can be split into two bedrooms with a twin bed and trundle bed underneath. The kitchen is also fully equipped with all utensils, dishes, etc., dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, and a Breville Toaster oven. A full-sized Washer and Dryer are also onsite to help make your family trip a bit easier. Parking is also easy as there is an on-site driveway that can easily fit 3 mid-size cars.

Wireless internet is onsite, with internet TV devices such as ROKU available on the TVs. There is also a PlayStation and DVD player available for viewing/playing as well.

Please enjoy your stay in our wonderful home, and take in everything Saint Augustine has to offer, without worrying about parking!

We came for a girls birthday weekend and had an amazing time! This home was perfectly located across from an excellent coffee shop, Juniper Cafe. Highly recommend it!The home was clean and so cool with old features and decor. The size was perfect for 5 people to each have their own bed. No one in our group wanted to share a bed! The location of this home made this the perfect getaway! We could walk to the Fort and shopping/restaurant areas. Would definitely stay here again! Host was quick to respond to my little questions and accommodating to my requests. Thanks for an amazing weekend!

My only suggestion would be to have small trash cans in the bedrooms and more than 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. The place is great!

We rented an antique Florida house, 8 of us coming from various Florida locations and Kansas. Settling, wood swelling, floors creaking - all part of the expected charm. There were minimal amounts, but PLENTY of charm. This place is beautiful and the location can’t be beat. Blocks from all the history, food and shopping you can handle, and around the corner from tram services to go wherever you don’t want to walk. I couldn’t tell you if the televisions worked, as we spent our time at the house barbecuing, eating, talking, and playing cards. We drank and read on the porch and balcony. This home is clean, quiet air conditioning, good water pressure, and messaging the host yielded quicker responses than I expected. If I ever need a place in St Augustine again, I will look for this house first. We loved it.

Great stay near the fort

Great stay near downtown St Augustine. Everything is within walking distance, even with small children. Comfortable beds and was enough to fit 2 families (7 people). Easy check in and checkout. Not too far of a drive to come sights, Alligator farm, Lighthouse and the Beach. Super close to the fort as well-perfect for the 4th of July stay.

Fantastic house & location!!

This was my second stay here because the location is perfect and the house is wonderful!! It's just a few minute walk to St. George St., the Fort, Ripley's Museum but out of the chaos. The neighborhood is excellent and neighbors are friendly. I will always choose this house if it's available when I have friends and family come to visit.

70th birthday weekend

My mother in love was celebrating her 70th and St Augustine is a special place for her. My wife and 2 kids put together a surprise weekend for her and one of her sons was able to come with his wife and toddler. We had a wonderful time the house was absolutely perfect for our group. Super comfortable and superb location. Kitchen was well stocked with anything to cook meals and the place was one of the cleanest we’ve stayed in. Fabulous place!

Beautiful house, excellent location

The house is fantastic and beautifully decorated. We were in very close walking distance to St. George St. Without being in the chaos. The neighborhood was very quiet and nice, too!
