Welcome to COMFORTABLY CLOSE!
Only 1.8 miles from the Stadium and 4 miles from both Shands and North Florida Regional Medical Center.

Whether you’re here for a university event, our reputable hospitals, business, family or maybe to explore the nearby state parks and local springs, we are COMFORTABLY CLOSE to all of it yet also situated up against Loblolly woods. From the back porch you actually feel like you’re in the woods instead of right in town.

Although a busy street, the house is nestled up against Loblolly Woods, the back deck invites you to enjoy coffee or a cold drink while the sounds of nature push your cares away. Your pup can enjoy freedom in the fenced in yard.

Once inside, the house is a tranquil oasis. Settle in for a quiet dinner with the family and a movie night. Later, nestle under the quilts on a brand new queen gel mattress. When you get up, the coffee and tea area is stocked and ready for you!

We hope we`ve thought of everything but please let us know if you need more than the following:

>Kitchen gadgets for preparing meals & desserts!

Our office room also offers a queen size bed, thus the house sleeps up to 8.

The television is a 65” smart TV. We have an antenna but do not offer cable. Feel free to log into your own streaming services. We hope you enjoy the many choices offered by this “way-smarter-than-me” TV! If you’re looking for a special live athletic event, we suggest Gator Dockside right around the corner! Try the wings!

A terrific neighborhood for outdoor activities. Loblolly Woods & WestSide Park are literally right here! The park offers: basketball, baseball, exercise trail, playground, swimming pool and tennis! Pet friendly however leashes are required.

Gainesville is easy to navigate by car but if you’re gonna drink, please use services like Uber or Lyft or taxi services.

There is plenty of private parking on the property for up to four vehicles. If arriving after dark, look for café lights in the front yard.

We also ask that, if bringing a pet, you pick up their poops from the yard. Bags are provided as well as a shovel if you’d rather toss it over the fence into the woods. Please, for the health of all our canine guests, leave the yard sanitary. Housekeeping does not patrol the yard. We feel this is a responsibility of all pet owners no matter where you are. Thanks for being good pet owners!

Perfect family house for UF visit

We came up for orientation with our daughter. House is in a perfect location for getting to and from campus. Plenty of food and grocery options close to house. The road in front of house is very busy, but it was quiet in the house. Nice walkable neighborhood for the dog. Owner is quick to respond. Plenty of room in the house to relax and hang out.

Baseball trip

The property was spacious and close to everything. Communication with the owners was quick and easy. Unfortunately, one of the bedrooms was unusable because there was hair all over the sheets. Another bedroom only had sheer curtains on the windows so as soon as it became light outside it was impossible to sleep.

Family Trip

The house was very convenient and close to the UF campus. We loved the back yard for our dogs and the 4 bedrooms worked perfect for our family!

Football Weekend

The exterior of the house and yard need some cleanup and weed eating/trimming/mowing. The inside of the house was clean and had everything we needed. AC was pre-set and was a good temperature. Shower had great pressure and nice & hot water. The pillows on the beds were too thick, hurt everyone's necks. Location of the house was pretty good. Close to lots of restaurants, and grocery store, etc. Not too close to the campus or football stadium. Not really walkable, but easy to get to. Overall, we liked the house.

Weekend Golf Camp stay

Location convenient to everything in Gainesville, especially UF campus. Several fantastic restaurants and Publix nearby. House is very comfortable and great for our 2 dogs

Great spot close to UF

What an awesome place! Super close to UF and convenient for football games, graduation, or any event you might be attending. Lots of parking space off of 34th! Comfy beds and pillows and a great living space to hang out in. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the backyard due to the heat, but it looks like a great place to be in cooler weather. Lisa was an amazing host and even offered to return items that were left there. The neighborhood was quiet and despite being on a fairly main road there was not much traffic noise — nothing a little white noise can’t easily cover.

Perfect Location for UF/ Santa Fe Parents

This place was perfect for our family that was busy with graduation events. We had ample room to move around, and the layout was good for the small gathering of family we had at the graduation. Bonus points for allowing pets. Our pups loved running around the backyard.

Very nice house but a noisy location

The house was very well maintained and updated. But because it was located right on 34th Street, there was a lot of traffic noise. This made it a bit difficult for some of my family to get a good nights rest. Even if you hung out on the back deck and yard, there was a sizeable amount of traffic noise. The Wi-Fi router was only operating at 2.4 GHz instead of including 5 GHz channels so the max speed was about 48 MBPS instead of 500 MBPS. I recommend that the owner provides a Swiffer Jet for the white tile floor as a broom doesn't pick up the dirt from your shoes when it is wet or damp but a Swiffer would. We kept the place clean but had to use wet paper towels to do so. Only some of the bedrooms had power strips with USB ports because there were few outlets in each room. All bedrooms should have power strips. It would be good if the windows had shades in them to make the rooms darker for sleeping. If the house were in a quiet location, we would stay again but not in that location.

Comfortably Close great stay

The house was comfortable, clean and felt more like home than a hotel which allows us to spend more time with family members. Having 2 bathrooms was a blessing when we were getting ready in the morning. It was so beautiful with all the trees just behind the house. It made me feel like we were in a forest.

Beautiful and relaxing stay

Mrs.Lisa was amazing. She answered all of my questions when I had them in a very timely manner. She has a beautiful home and we would definitely stay again, we spent 10 days in her home quite relaxing, even though i had work. would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again. The area is very close to everything you need .

This is actually a house my father bought and one of the three we lived in when my brother and I were kids. This was our "Middle School" home. We were able to walk directly up the street to West Wood Middle School. Many afternoons we stopped at the park and hung out at the pool.

We love this house because it has so many good memories...
sleep overs, Monopoly Marathons, cooking classes and adventures in the woods directly behind (accessible at Loblolly Trail Head, 3-4 houses down the street towards University Ave). Although it's on a busy street, it's tranquil and quiet inside. A little white noise is available if you're a super light sleeper.
