Downtown duplex with yoga room, 1 block from Lake Champlain

Available for week-long rental until 11/12 and mid-term rental November 12, 2025-May 1, 2026. One block from the lakefront bike path and Lake Champlain, this hip, downtown bungalow is right in the midst of it all. Enjoy the art district scene and views of the lake from the front porch swing, or escape into the backyard ringed with raised gardens. You are just 2 blocks from Main Street and easy walking distance to all that downtown, lakefront and Southside Burlington has to offer, with it’s award-winning eateries, breweries galleries and festivals. Two blocks from three bike rental shops and a kayak launch; the same from Burlington's best soft serve "creemees", across the street from the town's best coffee shop and awesome baguettes/croissant's just around the corner--everything "Burlington" is in the neighborhood. A laundromat is two blocks away and it's a short ten minute walk to Church Street also.
Inside our lovingly renovated 1860s historical home, enjoy the feel of Tuscany in the open living room/dining space or large kitchen, or find inner peace in the groovy yoga/meditation room, also with a lake view. A large bedroom is upstairs. The bed is super-comfortable, and upstairs windows all have black-out shades. The sole bathroom (1880s style) with tub is located on the first floor. This the lake side of a two story duplex with friendly neighbors.
This 1100 square foot apartment works best for a couple, but a third person can sleep comfortably on the pull-out loveseat couch in the meditation room (note this room has a bead curtain rather than a door). The stairwell is historic and characteristically steep, and Maple street out front is a main thoroughfare, but unlike the university district, the nights are quiet. This is the perfect town house for vacationers to this eclectic and happenin' Vermont hub, boaters docking near Perkins Pier (1 block away), potential future Vermonters exploring the Green Mountain State or anyone accessing UVM or Champlain College.

Perfect spot in a perfect location

I would stay here every single time I came to Burlington if I could. Go get pastries and coffee at August First, just a 2 min walk. So very good!

Great location!

This was our first trip to VT and it was simply amazing. Lorilee’s home was the perfect spot for us. Lake, beach, restaurants, and shops all within walking distance. Lorilee was super helpful and her home had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was very clean and well-stocked. I really enjoyed reading on the porch swing especially when we had a rain shower. Thank you so much for opening your home to us!

Great place, fantastic location!

Lorilee’s home was wonderful for our stay in Burlington! The location is unbeatable. The home is furnished with everything you need. There’s a beautiful backyard and peaceful porch swing where you can see the lake from. Lorilee was communicative and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Great place!

Last Minute Getaway

We booked the day before we arrived for a last minute, two- night getaway. The location was just perfect- a short walk to restaurants, shops and the waterfront for walking or biking! Lorilee was wonderful to work with. We met the neighbor who spoke so highly of her. We know why- she went above and beyond to return something we left behind. We had a great visit!

Great location

A short block walk to a lovely bike/walking path along the lake. Easy walks to Church St and City Market for groceries. Lorilee’s place is clean and homey. Driveway parking is a huge convenience. Enjoyed the front porch swing.

Perfect!

My son and I came to tour UVM. The property and property manager were perfect! The property manager was soooo helpful. She really made it an easy trip for us. The location was very convenient to everything. Incredible restaurant and shops right there. You can see the lake from the front porch! One of the best parts of the house is the back yard. It is beautiful! I loved relaxing in the lounge chairs and enjoying all the flowers. We’ll definitely be trying to stay there again when we return!

I’ve met the most wonderful people—usually traveling professionals, all of whom I’ve enjoyed renting to, while I’m off to places like Florida, Italy and even Essex VT, where my partner lives. I look forward to hosting you too!
