The Airstrip / Custom Hot Tub

Gorgeous log home constructed in 1983 by local builders using local spruce trees. Completely remodeled in summer 2022 including new appliances, cedar tongue and groove, bathroom, sauna, and furniture. The front yard is connected to the Talkeetna Village Airstrip and you can fly-in and park in the front yard. 3 sets of tie downs provided. Enjoy watching Alaskan bush planes taking-off and landing from the living room windows or the front deck. Less than 200 yards away from the front door are sweeping views of Denali and the Alaska Range from the Susitna River's waterfront trail at the confluence of the Susitna, Chulitna, and Talkeetna Rivers.

Winter Paradise

We had the most relaxing and energizing trip at The Airstrip. May be the best hot tub in the state. Comfortable living area and well appointed kitchen with espresso! Sleeping was a dream with modern comfortable king beds. We enjoyed daily saunas and plenty of reading. Walking distance to town and great access to skiing and fat biking trails around Talkeetna. Excellent winter destination!

Fun experience

Stayed here with my husband and kids. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the small planes take off and land. Very short walk to Main Street with lots of good food. House is beautifully upgraded and has all the amenities. Hope to come back one day.

Best Cabin Ever!

My wife, son, and good friends stayed at the cabin this winter and absolutely loved it! The cabin is perfect walking distance to everything in town and also secluded enough so that we felt as if we were all alone. The bedrooms, kitchen, living room were all very spacious. It was a treat to also sit in the sauna in the mornings/evenings. The owner was very responsive and very easy to work with. I would 100% recommend staying here and hope we will again in the future.

Fairytale Cabin

We adore this home right on the airstrip in Talkeetna! It has a rustic, modern charm with so much thoughtful detail. The host was friendly and and quick to respond when needed. The home was clean and inviting. We would have loved to have stayed longer!

This is probably one of the nicest VRBO I have ever stayed at and certainly the nicest cabin I have ever stayed in. Host is awesome - very responsive. We would stay here again for sure

Plainly the best cabin in Talkeetna

Lovely cabin, location and plane landings too. One of the best cabins we’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommended.

So great!

Fanciest rental I have ever used, much nicer than I expected from the listing! Very bright, beautifully decorated, spacious and had everything we needed and more (sauna!). My friends were so delighted with the setting for their double birthday, and bonus, we enjoyed watching the owners fly their planes. Thanks Joe!
