Ascension On The Lake. Beautiful home, lots of space to spread out.

Beautiful home with unique layout giving both private space with large rooms as well as large gathering areas, and various nooks for more cozy settings. The main living area boasts a 25' high ceiling with views directly to the lake. There are two fully stocked full kitchens (one upstairs, one downstairs) giving great flexibility for mass cooking and/or separate hanging out. The two refrigerators with a 3rd freezer in the garage gives ample room for groceries. Covered morning room offers full lake view for early morning coffee, or for large seating meals. Unique bunk bed rooms gives special memory to younger guests, with additional play spaces for little ones. The lower level has a large couch designed for multiple seating for movie watching, etc., and can also be used for an extra sleep space.

The property has a very gentle slope to the water/dock, as well as multiple gas outdoor fire pits, and large Solo Stove smokeless wood burning fire pit. Amenities include Hot Tub , Kayaks and Bikes, 9' Shuffleboard Table and full size Air Hockey, as well as small Ping Pong table and multiple Board Games for all to enjoy!

All paper products supplied for your stay. Towels and Linens are supplied free, however, you must bring YOUR OWN towel for outside use at the beach, hot tub, etc.

If you want lots of spaces in which to escape, as well as very comfortable space for large gatherings, along with unique features that will yield definitive lasting memories, come let Ascension ‘lift you away.’ :-) Note: 7 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY (1 June - 6 September)

Ascension On the Lake is in a perfect location on Smith Mountain Lake. Nice cove with calm water with just a short distance to boat marinas and a nice view of the mountain. Easy walk from the house to the dock and other areas for resting and relaxing on the beach. Home has nice amenities and a game room. Your host Tim and Michelle are very responsive if you should have a question or need.

Exceptional Over and Over

Tim & Michelle are the consummate hosts - their thoughtfulness and experience anticipating guests’ needs goes above and beyond. A cook’s kitchen, including spices, appliances and cookware are offered. Linens and paper goods supplied by host allows guests to arrive and relax. Beautiful dock and dockside amenities too numerous to mention and games inside so appreciated by our family ranging in ages from 12 mos to 82 yrs old. Ascension’s location on SML perfect for all boating activities. Loved our week here - Thank you, Tim and Michelle!!

Simply amazing! Tim & Michelle were exceptional hosts, who seem to truly care about their guests. Their home was well-appointed and stocked with everything one would want to do while on vacation at SML. The location on the lake was perfect, with deep water off the dock and in a peaceful cove near a no-wake zone. When not on the water, our kids loved the snow cones and table games. Fantastic, family friendly!

Outstanding property. Don’t hesitate to book! Luxurious home with all the extras for the kids including games, floats, life jackets, kayaks and paddle boards. Kids had a blast jumping from the dock into beautiful clear water! Our family enjoyed the extra space to spread out between floors. Plenty of room to spread out when everyone wanted space or big enough rooms and furniture to hang out all together. The hot tub was super nice at night and the multiple fire pits and outdoor space to hang were an awesome option! Tim and Michelle are super communicative and helpful. Perfect hosts to deal with!

Wedding week

Our week could not have been better. Son’s wedding at another Lake house, our VRBO location just up the road was beyond expectation. All family members could not say enough about how happy they were for the week. When the description says fully equipped, believe it…truly. You cannot go wrong with his awesome VRBO. Great Lake week!

We loved the house / property! It fit our large multi-generational family, with lots of spaces for everyone. The game room was perfectly placed as not to disturb anyone. The kitchens had every appliance imaginable. The beach was a great area for the little ones. The boat dock met all our needs, and was even used during some “work from home” time. We did not use the separate bunkhouse, but it was a unique area. We have been vacationing at SML for quite awhile and this may be our favorite house!Thank you!

Absolutely one of the BEST properties on VRBO that we have booked. Wonderful and Gracious owners have thought of every single detail. Our family loved being together; from cooking and sharing meals, to fishing, kayaking and relaxing in hot tub, to bike rides/walking and playing games. The kitchen was well stocked and appreciated having so many spaces to enjoy the Beautiful lake view! We truly love this vacation home. This was our second year here and we have already requested booking again for next year. The house and location has everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Smith Mountain Lake rental

The house is beautiful and very well Maintained. House has a great location on the lake and the dock area has plenty of chairs, tables and lounge chairs as well. Lots of decks around the house all well furnished. Hosts are great to work with and they want to make sure the guests feel right at home. This was our second year of renting this home and glad we returned.
