The Captain’s Cottage — a charming back-house retreat in an unbeatable Belmar location, directly across the street rom the Shark River waterfront park. Enjoy riverfront views from the yard and some of the shore’s most spectacular sunsets.

Highlights

Steps from paddleboard/kayak rentals, fishing piers, charter boats, mini-golf, and waterside restaurants (including the popular 9th Ave Pier & Marina Grille).

Free public river beach directly across the street; the ocean is ~1 mile away.

Extras included: kayak, 2 bikes, and 2 beach badges.

Location & access

Short Uber, bike, or train ride to Asbury Park. Belmar Main Street and the Belmar train station are within easy walking distance.

Two dedicated parking spaces assigned to this house; additional free parking available nearby on K and L Streets.

Important note

There are two separate rental homes on the property (this listing is for the back house). Addresses, yards, and parking are separate and private; only the driveway entrance is shared.

Great experience at the Captain’s Cottage

My wife and I had a great trip at the Captain’s Cottage. The owners were very accessible and the instructions for check-in/check-out are extremely easy to follow. I would definitely book again and recommend this to anyone looking for a nice rental property in a prime location in Belmar.

Nice clean, cozy cottage that is convenient to all local areas. The host was very responsive to any issue that would arise as a result of the bad weather that was encountered. The big Red Chair in front of the property was a great landmark to find the place. Will definitely stay there again.
