Sandy’s Cypress Retreat is the cabin closest to the Big Cypress Tree that supports the floating deck. On a windy night you can hear, or even feel the branches dancing in the wind as they float on the deck, allowing the tree to move naturally. Sandy’s cabin is a relaxing retreat, with its neutral colors and natural textiles, featuring artwork by local artists. Sandy was our mother, a sister, and a dear friend to everyone who knew her. A true angel on early who taught us to live simply and love deeply, and always appreciate the miracles that Mother Nature offers.
Sandy taught us to always say “Hello River”, when you see it, as a reminder to never take its blessing for granite. She was one of the original mermaids at Aquarena Springs in San Marcos, Tx. the late 1950’s, and was the president to the Martindale Water Board in the1990’s. So honoring and protecting the rivers where always her passion.
Sandy loved a good book, a bad, joke, and family gatherings. Enjoy this retreat as you honor yourself and your loved ones by living each day to the fullest!

Treetop River Cabins located on the banks of the Guadalupe River in Center Point, Texas. Sharing a common deck that wraps around a majestic Cypress Tree, all four cabins have a primary room with a queen bed, and a sleeping loft for 4 additional guests. For groups, you can sleep up to 24 guests. Full kitchen, 1.5 bath, AC, TV with streaming channels, fiber optic Internet, BBQ grills, and two outdoor fire pits. Perfect for family reunions, retreats, wedding parties, or a peaceful and quiet getaway.

The Upper Guadalupe River is a magical, peaceful, deep, slow- moving part of the river that fills my soul.
The cabins are located up from the Center Point dam, making the water calm and deep like a lake, which
is perfect for kayaking, swimming & fishing. The majestic Cypress Trees that line the banks are a true gift
from Mother Nature! Our rustic Treetop River Cabins offer a cozy place to relax, reconnect with friends
& family, and offer an option for outdoor adventure without ever leaving the property!
Downtown Center Point, which is less than ½ mile away, is a perfect location & community! It is in the
heart of the Texas Hill Country and named appropriately because as my Grandpa Speedy explained “If
you drew a map, it would look like a wagon wheel”, because it is right between Kerrville & Comfort,
Bandera & Fredericksburg, Boerne & Ingram, making it a great spot for day trips, bike rides, wine tours,
and motorcycle touring.
The small downtown of Center Point is filled with newly renovated historic buildings, offering fine
dining, local provisions, monthly festivities, great food, local wine, and music almost every weekend! It is
the perfect small town and the river is a bonus!
