Welcome to Animal Kottage! We are located in a secluded area in Hayward, WI on 3.5 pet-friendly acres and only 3 miles from enjoying the downtown atmosphere of this amazing city.
Enjoy your morning coffee on warm summer mornings and take in the evening sunsets while grilling on the back porch. Plenty of room in the manicured yard for outdoor games experience or just enjoying some drinks around the firepit while the kids and dogs play.
Located close to several lakes, shopping, lots of great restaurants as well as ATV and Snowmobile trails.
Watch as deer wander through the property on their way to the Namekagon river just a short walk away or as birds, bunnies, and other wildlife enjoy the quiet and remote location.

The propert was very peaceful and clean. The home was clean and had a nice coffee bar. The candy bowl on the counter was a noce surprise. The host was very prompt to respond to our questions and needs. Would stay again!

Very cute property, loved the dog decor. Clean and organized, kitchen had good selection of items to cook breakfast. Coffee station was a nice touch. Fire pit was an added bonus. Would recommend to stay if you’re in the area.

The Perfect Little House

We normally stay elsewhere when we visit Hayward, but after missing out on our usual spot we snagged this gem. Everything was PERFECT. Comfortable beds, plenty of space, and the most “homey” feel. One of our best VRBO experiences yet!

Very clean and had everything we needed to feel at home. The location was perfect, quiet, yet close to everything. We enjoyed sitting out back with the beautiful wooded surroundings. Trego is a short ride away where we rented canoes and paddled down the Namekagon River. Highly recommend Amimal Kottage!

Visit at Animal Kottage

We loved our stay at Animal Kottage. The space was very clean and welcoming. We loved the coffee bar and sitting outside by the firepit. We appreciate that the owners are animal lovers!

This property was perfect for a trail riding vacation. The cottage is super clean, very well stocked and Jordan could not have been more amazing to work with. There were 4 in our group. Great space for cooking, dining, card playing and building memories. We loved having the fire pit. The candy dish and the coffee bar were great and made us feel very welcomed. We had a blast. We will definitely use this property again.

We came to the area to ride sxs and this house was perfect. It was clean, had all the necessities, and great location. We would for sure book this same place again if we come back to the area.

Perfect Location

Weekend away

This was the perfect place for our weekend in Hayward. Private, yet close enough to town for the wedding we had. Jordan was very responsive and helpful during our check in process. Definitely recommend.

Great Stay

We loved our stay in Sawyer County. The house was in a private setting - just outside of Hayward. Very clean and comfortable. We came up to go riding our ATVs. It worked out great to ride from the house every day.

Comfortable place; excellent hosts

We stayed here for a bit of an extended stay this winter. We found this home to be very clean and well-equipped and just as pictured & described. Just a few minutes out of town but feels secluded. Hosts were wonderful to work with. Will be staying here again in a few months.

Sparkling clean, great location

We loved the privacy and quietness of the property. The yard was great for letting the dogs play and having fires or sitting on deck. Yet it was only a short, easy drive from Hayward. The house itself was very clean, well stocked and we had plenty of room. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee bar.

We are locals of the Hayward area and have always enjoyed the quiet and freedom that the area provides with its many trails for ATVs, snowmobiles, horses, skiing, or hiking. The wildlife is truly amazing, and we see a multitude of it every day, including bear, deer, turkeys, birds, hummingbirds, etc. As dog owners, we love the ability of having plenty of space to allow them to run and play in our yard or take them on hiking trails with us. We want to provide that same opportunity to our guests which is why we are pet-friendly hosts.

The house is not located in what we would call a neighborhood. It is on a corner lot with a single "neighbor" about 750 feet away. It is a peaceful and relaxing location that provides guests the opportunity to really enjoy all that the Northwoods has to offer.
