New renovated post and beam farm style private home.
Located 1/2 mile off a rural town road.
15 wooded acres abutting Devils Hopyard State Park. Includes a private 5 acre pond for fishing, kayaking, 2 paddle boards, rowboat & peddle boat.
Interior newly renovated kitchen with new appliances, spacious island with eating area. Dining area has a huge custom made live edge pine slab table and matching benches. This table can easily accommodate 14 people.
THE SPACE
The living room area has comfortable couches for relaxation by the wood burning fireplace.
Don't worry, we have an ample supply of Firestarter, kindling, and split wood to keep you warm.
Two private bedrooms.
Bedroom One is white with driftwood color trim. The ceiling is tongue and groove with exposed beams leading to the clearstory windows that allow afternoon sunlight and nighttime moonlight to fill the room. There is a stone faced gas fireplace with a remote control, perfect for viewing from the two queen size adjustable beds.
The Bedroom One bathroom has dual sinks with plenty of fine towels and accessories. This bathroom has a full glass walk in spacious shower.

Bedroom Two has a new Casper King size adjustable bed via remote control. Perfect for sitting up in bed and looking out the three large picture windows to our Pine Pond at the Hopyard and the trails of Devil's Hopyard State Park.
Bedroom Two is natural pine post and beam construction with a clear amber finish. This room also offers a remote controlled gas fireplace to warm up the atmosphere.
Bedroom Two's bathroom features a double sink vanity and a claw foot slipper bathtub with a TV for relaxation and a perfect finish for a enjoyable day.
The bathroom has tub level windows to give you a beautiful view of the woods and overlooking flowing brook.

You will enjoy the heated floors throughout the house. 7 zone heating that is easily adjustable.
For those hot humid summer days, and a day on our newly sanded pond beach, come home to the cool comfort of four mini split airconditioned spaces.

The Lower Level Game Room features a commercial grade pool table complete with balls, sticks and accessories to practice your shots or challenge your mate or other friends.
Also in the game room is a newly renovated Terminator II - Judgement Day pinball machine along with a 65" Large Screen Samsung TV.

There is a wood burning fireplace located in the living room and a Remote Controlled Gas Fireplace in each of the two bedrooms.

Guest are allowed free access to:
15 wooded acres abutting Devils Hopyard State Park.
Private 5 acre pond for fishing, 2 Each Kayaks, 2 Each Paddle boards, a Rowboat & Peddle boat.....
Other things to note, free use of items in the
Game Room, Pool table, Terminator 2 Judgement Day Pinball machine, among other games. Particularly enjoyable on those rainy days.
We require 2 days minimum stay to relax and enjoy all the amenities Pine Pond @ Devils Hopyard has to offer.

15 acres is available. If you have friends and family who would like to camp out, several areas clear for tents. Two areas have Outhouses available.
Free Use of Pond and Water Equipment Use of kayaks, canoe, rowboat, paddleboards, peddle boat... Lifejackets and life ring are provided.
There is no lifeguard on duty so swimming, boating and other in the pond will be at your own risk.

Bill and Yinting are wonderful hosts. They met us at the property to show us around and you definitely get the feeling that their home is your home. I loved kayaking in the pond, hiking in the woods behind the house, the fire pit, and the large kitchen table for games. The TV's and voice-activated lights, pinball machine, etc. are awesome amenities. Thank you so much to our hosts for an amazing stay.

The beautifully done house is surrounded by its own acreage and also borders Devil’s Hopyard. We had our lab with us and he enjoyed long walks and exploring. The decks overlooking the beautiful pond and bird life were ideal for relaxing. My son also enjoyed archery on the shooting range. The hosts are wonderful and the house was meticulously cared for. We hope to go back!

This property and house were immaculately clean upon arrival and plenty of room for our 14 person party. Bill and Yinting were incredibly kind and generous! Bill was also a clear communicator making it very easy to plan the trip and organize. I would highly recommend this property for your stay!

Perfect Stay

Went up with a bunch of friends and the trip couldn't have gone better. Pond was filled with fish and a lot of room for activities throughout the property including the shooting range, hiking, firepits, etc. The owners were very accommodating and very responsive with any questions we had. Check in was a breeze and you will definitely see us back here in the future.

Bill and Yinting are the greatest hosts!

Everything at this place is amazing I dont even know where to start! Firstly Bill and Yinting are the best everything we could possibly need they provided and more! The views are incredible and inside the home is also incredible with tons of space for big groups (We had 8 in ours). Overall we would 100% stay again and thank you Bill for all the hospitality!

From the first time we showed interest, the hosts made us feel welcomed. We booked the prioerty for our family and to host a wedding venue. We travelled from out of state and didnt know what to expect for an outdoor New England wedding in November. The property, house, amenities, ans hosts went above and beyond until the very end! Thank you so much for making a special day (and time) so special. I highly recommend considering this property for any large occassions. It comfortably slept all our guests and had all the little "extras" such as micro USB chargers next to the beds and couch, smart home controlled by Alexa, radiant heated floors, and on and on.

Amazing!

We rented this property for ourselves and family to stay in for my son’s wedding at nearby Smith Farms and Gardens. (Highly recommended for a wedding venu). The hosts were so welcoming, showed us around property and made us feel very comfortable. Everything was pristine, very clean, comfortable, and we were welcomed with a tray of delicious croissants! Property was beautiful, our teens loved the pond that was equipped with everything from paddle boats to paddle boards. They even welcomed our dog. We will be back to stay and we highly recommend!

As a life long Connecticut resident, I want my guests to see the rural countryside I have come to know and love. Spending hours as a child in Antique shops that dot the country roads, swimming on Long Island Sound, attending Goodspeed Opera House and seeing the fabulous shows and now having two of the largest Casinos, Foxwood and Mohegan Sun, a short drive away.

East Haddam, Connecticut is very wooded with great history. Gillette Castle State Park has recently been renovated and makes a great sightseeing attraction overlooking the famous Connecticut River.
Our property adjoins the State of CT, Devils Hopyard State Park. Offering 1000 acres of hiking, picnicking, fishing and camping. Don't worry about reserving a campsite, plenty of areas on our 15 acre property if you or friends wish to camp out for a night or two.

We have more than a cabin on the property. You have room to spread out, listen to the wildlife, relax on your own beach. The pond is fed by 3 brooks and underground springs. Insects are very few and and little need for spray repellents.
In the years we have been here, we have never seen the local bear, and only once saw a shy coyote by the pond for a minute. Lots of birds! Hawks hunting mice!
Don't forget your legal firearms!! We have a formerly NRA approved 1000 yard legal shooting range to practice your aim. Some past guests have brought their Bows and arrows for practice.
About once a year a lost hiker or two may stumble out from the Devils Hopyard State Park. Happy to see us and ask for directions. Other than that no visitors other than USPS, Amazon, FedEx and UPS deliveries! NO CLOSE NEIGHBORS! TURN THE TUNES UP!!!
Plenty of spots for parking.
New HUGE Bull Barbeque Grill with griddle, and pizza stone.
