To clarify VRBO's "No Pet" Policy to people with extreme allergies we have added the following note to our listing: "No Pets Allowed. Consider People with Allergies. No Pets does not mean Animal Free Guarantee. VRBO Policy, Service Dogs not considered Pets."

We work hard so that the Guests can have the best possible stay and we really appreciate suggestions on how we can improve. Communication is very important. We have a comprehensive Information Book in the house that explains the unique features of Casa Coyote. It encourages the Guests to keep the window coverings closed on the east side in the morning to avoid the sun that comes over the mountains from heating the house. The windows can be opened at night to let in the cool mountain breezes. There are portable fans in the rooms so the Guest can direct the air flow. I always encourage every Guest to contact the caretaker if they have any questions or need help. She lives in the area, is available and looks forward to meeting the Guests and taking care of their concerns. Making sure that Guests are comfortable is an important part of her job. Thank you for your remarks. We strive to make Casa Coyote better for the guests. Three things I would like future guests to know. 1. Casa Coyote is near the Carson National Forest and bears do come down into the neighborhood. It is important to keep trash inside the house/garage so as not to attract the bears. Coyotes are natural to the area and are mostly very wary of people. 2. The house, like almost all of the other houses in the area, does not have air conditioning. The window covering on the east side of the house can be kept closed in the morning to help the house from heating up from the sun. They can be opened after the sun goes to the other side of the house. The windows can be opened in the evening to let in the cool air and closed during the day to keep in the cooler air. Fans are provided for guest comfort. 3. Casa Coyote is in a rural area where there are a lot of mice outside. The guests should take care not to leave the doors and garage door open. The caretaker thoroughly cleans the house and if she sees mouse droppings she puts out mouse traps. If the house is vacant for a couple of days she puts out mouse traps. She removes the mouse traps before the guests arrive. We are getting foam mattress toppers for the queen beds. They should be softer than the two thick mattress pads that we had on the beds. The TVs are presently working fine. If a TV is not working properly the guest should call the caretaker for help. Sometimes previous guests attach their own equipment and do not put the cables back properly. An additional Roku is not needed. There are three smart tvs in the house. One in the living room with satellite tv and wifi , one in the Master bedroom with satelite tv and wifi, and one in the middle bedroom with wifi. All three TV's are capable of streaming. The tv in the twin bed bedroom is provided for gaming only. There are shelves in the nice sized master bedroom walk- in closet for folded clothes. We have an exterminator spray for bugs a couple times a year and as needed. We do not have him spray when guests are in the house to protect their health. Keeping the door closed will also help keep out the bugs.
