Completely remodeled and upgraded cozy cottage on 2.25 acres in the Arapaho National Forest. There's a cute little bonus shed for private, late-night conversations or a "getaway from your getaway". Relax with 360 degree mountain views and a creek flowing right through the property!

Start hiking or climbing right out your door, or on any of the trails in this small, private community. Located between Idaho Springs and Georgetown, there are nearby breweries, restaurants, and unique shops, as well as skiing, hiking, biking, ziplining, and more. (15% "Chickadee" discount exclusively for our guests at Mountain Mamas' Needful Things in Georgetown).

Also nearby … fox, coyote, bear, elk, deer, moose, bighorn sheep, pine marten, AND MORE.

We have fast Wi-Fi for streaming, as well as a large collection of ~150 DVDs for your viewing pleasure.

The location was perfect for what we were looking for. The location is great if you want to stay in the mountains and go to a concert at Red Rock. An amazing location for getting to hiking trails.

This is 3rd time staying at the Chickadee, and it was just as pleasant as the others. We love how cozy it is; perfect jumping off point for a few days skiing at Loveland. We'll be back next year.

We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin is so cute and every detail is great. The style of the interior is so charming and the setting is beautiful. I especially loved the sounds of the creek nearby. We found it to be a great rental with our toddler as well.

Adorable place in peaceful location

We really enjoyed this cute and vintage feel cabin. The bed was comfortable and the location provided the right amount of solitude while still being not far from town. Hosts were easy to communicate with.

Cute and comfortable in a very quiet area

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is well appointed and very comfortable. Very convenient to I-70 but in a very quiet area up the mountain. Thanks for a great visit.

Wonderful place to stay!

This was a beautifully decorated cabin that has everything you need. Perfect location for skiing at Loveland. Can't wait to come back again sometime!

This cabin was wonderful—we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. It’s beautifully decorated, very well appointed, and in a perfect location with easy access to everything. The lovely bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we slept so well. The backyard was absolutely sublime—peaceful and relaxing. Diane was a fantastic host, always responsive and helpful. We would love to stay in this piece of heaven again!

If you’re looking for a place in the forest that is near hiking and conveniently located between Idaho Springs and Georgetown, Dumont is the perfect place and the Chickadee is the perfect home base.

Incredible property tucked up and away but close enough to enjoy everything nearby. Nice and quiet with great neighbors. Great communication and wonderfully remodeled property. The care and love put into the property really shows. We enjoyed a great long weekend in the area.

Exactly what we were looking for!

Everything was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Nestled in the mountains with a wonderful coffee shop at the base. We would definitely stay again!
