This newly remodeled (March 2022) historical home is situated in a very desirable location within Montreat - you will be within walking distance of the town center, Lake Susan, Robert Lake Park, Moore Center store, hiking trails, The Montreat Anderson Auditorium, and so much more. Other must-visit attractions include Black Mountain (two and a half miles) and downtown Asheville (18.5 miles). This house is historically one of the first homes built in Montreat, back in 1903. You will have your own taste of local history while staying here!

This gorgeous home also has an interesting outdoor living space where you and your loved ones can hang out and admire the beautiful surroundings. Gather around the wood-burning firepit for some midnight storytelling, hang out on the front porch and take in the views or read a good novel, or gather at the outdoor dining area for some alfresco dining.

The first floor of this magnificent snowbird-friendly retreat is a separate apartment-like setting, with a separate entrance, and a convenient open floor plan. The kitchen is complete with all the essentials, including a beautiful Keurig coffee maker. There is no dishwasher available there, but the main house does have one. Unwind in the comfy living room and stream your favorite movies and series on the smart TV with cable and streaming options. This retreat also features two well-appointed bedrooms.

The rest of the entire home is made up of two levels. Kick your feet up and enjoy a tranquil evening watching TV on the large smart TV in the main living room. Off of the living room is the formal dining room with an exquisite dining table that is just perfect for family meals. Adjoining the dining room is the well-appointed kitchen, complete with modern stainless steel appliances that will make cooking a breeze. When it comes to entertainment, this home doesn't miss. Find a secluded game room with a Ms. Pac-Man video game as well as a smart TV and board games located under the seat cushions on the bench. There is a washer/dryer and a full bathroom attached. This level also offers one bedroom. And last, but definitely not least, the upper level features five comfortable and beautifully-decorated bedrooms for a good night's sleep. There are two bunk bedrooms that are just ideal for the kiddos!

Security camera details: Camera located by front door. There is also a camera on the apartment door of the lower level. That camera does face the firepit area.
